Synopsis:

Rokuro Okajima is a small-time salaryman who is carrying documents for his company, when the ship he's traveling on is attacked by pirates. Kidnapped, he discovers to his dismay that his employers' main concern is to ensure the documents don't get into the wrong hands, even if it means sending the carrier to the bottom of the sea. Now, with his former life ruined and his kidnappers seeming comparatively friendly, "Rock" decides to join their merry band of mercenaries, and sets out with a new career to the shadier corners of the South China Sea.

Black Lagoon and Jormungand are very similar in the veins of action/shooters and organized crime. Jormungand has not as much insane, over the top action as Black Lagoon does, but it makes up for it in story. It's story is more centralized and seems to be following a specific route. If you enjoy Black Lagoon, you're sure to enjoy Jormungand, because it seems like they are almost set in the same universe.

Both Black Lagoon and Jormungand are manga about a group of mercenaries of sorts. Lagoon Company in Black Lagoon does jobs ranging from smuggling, pirating to escorting and all of those contain a fair amount of gunfights. The group from Jormungand is in arms trading business, so what they mainly do is smuggling and theft (not so far from pirating). I don't think I need to mention that those also involve lots of gunfights. If you think that such groups can only consist of people who can't really be called normal, than your right on your money. Anyway, as you can see those series are similar, so you really should go read one if you liked the other.

Both of these Titles share similar settings and feels to them. And that it is at a neutral company in an outlaw city, doing various "jobs" and such.. I believe Black Lagoon does a better job of maintaining a sense of realism, but with action, gunfights, and a few hot women.. I'm sure if you like one, you'll dig the other..

both of these manga's are high in action and have some rather epic leading ladies.both leading ladies favor pistols. while rally is arguebly a better shot, revy makes up in volume of fire.

Both Black Lagoon and Zero In feature this non-combatant guy who comes up with strategies and plans for his trigger happy gunslinging girl companion (or in case of Zero In girls). In case of Zero In it takes several chapters before the character roles get established. If you like action series with lots of gunfights, you probably can enjoy both of those manga.
