The characters' personalities are pretty much the same. The plots are completely different though. When I first read Hana to Akuma, I instantly thought of Black Bird.

Both Ai Ore! and Black Bird are focused on relationships between really controlling pretty boys and girls who don't know what they're getting into until it's too late. If you like shoujo manga where the guy calls all of the shots, either of these should make you happy.
