While investigating a series of bombings, Detective Murakami encounters a girl with mysterious powers and no memory. She claims to be able to see and converse with spirits, and then leads him to the next bomb. Due to the accuracy of her prophecies, he can't ignore her abilities, so he names her Maki and they become friends. She approaches him with the pleadings of murdered spirits and he helps arrest the criminals, but what exactly is Maki and why can't she remember her past?
