The relationship developments in Aishiteruze Baby and Hakushaku to Yousei are what make the two series stick together.  Not to mention the fact that they are both shoujo romances, the daily lives of the main characters are tested and friendships are strained.

We Were There

We Were There

Yano Motoharu is the most popular guy in class, the school’s basketball ace, and highly charismatic to boot! No wonder Nanami Takahashi can’t resist falling in love with him. When Yano returns Nana’s feelings, things seem too good to be true and the two begin a relationship; but Yano has a contradictory personality which confuses Nana most of the time. On top of that, tragic events in Yano’s past won’t stop haunting their relationship. Unable to halt their passionate feelings, are Yano and Nana heading for disaster or can they save each other from irreparable hurt?

Aishiteruze Baby and We Were There both have a very slow paced plot line.  Not that the series drag on but they are very in depth when in comes to character emotions and feelings develop over a longer period of time.  They each have a relationship obstacle that the main characters must try and over come through out the series.
