Usually last chapters are twice that length but I sure am glad it didn't lose sight of itself and slapped some fine ass fanservice pages instead of plots in the last chapter. It always was known for senseless ecchi and curvacious high schoolers

I agree on all of that and a timeskip into the future after an explanation of how it all came to be? I'm not even going to bother answering it because how I see it, an explanation of how they got flung into the future would have been a Bleach: Complete fucking shit.
Sure we may not have seen where they go to the new world, how Miina grew to be a crossdressing, tall... holy fuck he grew like mad in three years! Man, fuck logic. That's like asking how Camera Man can still film shit.

Seriously, fuck logic. You see all the crazy shit that happened to them? They get a chapter of a breather, two tops. You can't explain how everything on the island lines up to fuck their shit up.

I forgot but hey, it was fun. Ludicrous how they get all these crappy events forced onto them, the senseless perversion, the ridiculous amounts of hot-bloodedness from our Hero and from so many others and if this were in anime, it would be filled with ham and all the other good stuff.

It was good dumb fun and I'm glad I was here for the ride.

I was super happy that we got some ecchi back into it as well (it went quite some time w/o it and i was getting worried!)

Pointless bath scene to close out your manga? why the fuck not, every manga should end like that

I don't think I could agree with you more Thrawn, this shit would make an epic ecchi / action / sci fi anime, and I would watch the shit out of it... think about Rion . Was the ending a bit rushed? sure. Did they leave a few loose ends? yeah. But fuck it. It was good. Overall I give Cage of Eden a 4/5.

Just finished this. I was surprised that I managed to call the big twist around halfway through the series, usually can't do that. Though maybe it was heavily hinted.
Overall, I liked the suspense and the mystery lingering over their heads almost the entire time and some of the characters were endearing enough. Yarai was a boss.
I don't really like how the manga treated women though. It constantly rubbed in their supposed inferiority and the fanservice got obnoxious after a while.
Especially since these guys were, what, freshmen?

The only lingering plot thread that bothered me was with Kouhei and Hades, but oh well. Maybe the open ending just hit it home that they had resigned themselves to life in the wild.

Also, about the rushed ending for those who may not know: Kodansha decided to pull some bullshit copyright thing or some other scandal and a lot of series under its name such as Negima, Air Gear, Eden, etc decided to protest and absolve their mangas from the new conditions by ending them prematurely.
Which is a shame, because this series could have had a nice resolution, but them's the breaks.

Overall, I give Cage of Eden a 3.5/5. Thrawn summed up the series for what it is pretty perfectly.
