History's Strongest Disciple: Kenichi

Just realized there was no thread for this manga either. Anyways, for those of you that don't know what this manga is about think of Hajime no Ippo but with karate (that's the most similar manga I could think of).

If that's not enough for you here's a plot summary

Kenichi, a high school student that always gets bullied seeks to learn martial arts to be able to defend himself. By chance, he stumbles upon the granddaughter(Miu Fūrinji) of the owner(Hayato Fūrinji, also known as the invincible superman.) of Ryouzanpaku. Ryouzanpaku is a dojo where martial artists who have mastered their line of martial art gather together. However, there are only six of these martial artists in the dojo, all of them skilled in different arts. The Masters take Kenichi as their disciple, and Kenichi is resolved to learn martial arts in order to protect those that he loves. However, Kenichi is sucked into the problems of the Ryouzanpaku and its enemies and he is forced to participate in their mission to stop any evil forces.

Didn't really expect to see Apachai get impaled by Agaard. He managed to hit Agaard (what looked like) three times before he went down though. I'm predicting that those three hits crippled him so he can never fight again, or at least will cause him to collapse. Either way, I think that Kenichi is going to go into "kick ass" mode, in the next chapter, and destroy Tirawit.

The anime got me into reading this as well...picked it up back about Ch. 390 or so. Kinda wish I knew what brought this current set of events up. So I'm a bit lost...however

I'm surprised that Apachai is down. I don't know enough about the manga yet to know if its going to be a bleach type thing where noone dies or not. But damn...Apachai was cool. Its sad to see this.

Looks like Kenichi got the motivation hes gonna need to whoop some ass now for sure. I just hate when it has to come to such drastic measures sometimes for people to find that strength.

Kenichi 401

The first part of my prediction has come true and I believe that in 402 my second prediction will also come true (refer to 400 post). I think that Apachai won't die (because they will probably find him in time to save his life) but I think that in the worst case scenario he won't be able to fight anymore (which would be kind of sad, but since he finally achieved his goal of defeating Agaard it wouldn't make you want to rage).

Seems to be a lot of 'breaking even' with these fights. Gah, why can't anything be truly decisive sometimes? Watching Miu in the last chapter atleast kept it interesting, this one just kinda dragged out the fight, explained the 1 move made at the end of the last chapter and prepared for the next 'move'.

I doubt apachai is dead. At least I hope not

So apparently what does(n't) kill you makes you stronger. Kenichi finally won and now I'm just waiting to see if they are going to really kill off Apachai or not. I'll be pissed if they do.
