I recently started reading this manhwa (korean manga) called The breaker. Basically it starts out similar to GTO and then transforms into something similar to History's Strongest Disciple. I was wondering if anyone else had read this manga.

I'm not going to lie, when it said "End" on the title I really thought there were going to ruin the manga by trying to finish it in one chapter. Thankfully it was only the end of part 1.

I really was starting to wonder if this arc was spiraling downward once the female nurse (I don't feel like looking up the names atm) got shot and killed. After the main character lost his Ki and got hospitalized I thought that he would pull an Ichigo (probably will) and get his powers back through an alternative method. In the most recent chapter though I thought that they were going to end the manga with him going back to just being a normal high school student, but thankfully they are continuing it. I think that he will master the techniques that his master left on the cell phone and then become some badass. At least that's what I hope happens.

I read the first volume, didn't like it that much, it has that "Street of Rage" flavor all over it, and the school boys and girls always put me down

Its okish. Characters are terrible, i feel like the leads are another character every chapter(other then the hateful shiho). I'd say its good if theres nothing decent to read.

The beginning of The Breaker is really slow, but once it gets into the second-third volume it kicks off and is more enjoyable.

I didn't mind the slow start, but the odd names (have only read 2 Manwha) so the non-japanese names were difficult to memorize, but after a while I got used to the names and then found myself really enjoying this.

I'm really hoping that woman who saved Shioon is on his side and not his enemy :[ Also hoping that when he master the ability Goomoonryong left him, he can begin to learn martial arts again. He was beginning to learn all the footwork moves and I really wanted to see more progression ><
