Speaking of crocodile, when will we get to know his "secret" ya think, and what is it?
My bets are on him having been a woman, rather than an Okama.
I have a feeling that if he was an Okama, that would be more "public" knowledge considering how the other Okama aren't restricted to the island, and nothing keeps them from spreading such a story, but it instead seems that Ivankov is the only person who knows. This could imply that Crocodile sought him out specifically to be changed. The reasons why he would do that is anyone's guess.
Also, he has pierced ears, so 'tis obvious

The fact that in Episode 0 only his hair was shown (from the back) seems to enhance that theory. The
thing that makes me doubt it is his appearance as a child:

Or perhaps the ''secret'' was just that Whitebeard beat him, in which case he already said it during the war when he thought WB was looking pitiful. Seems too simple for Oda though.

If Crocodile really was a woman before then that had to be in an age when ''she'' (ugh) was barely known at all, otherwise many more people would know about this other than Ivankov. And of course, ''her'' old crew should all be dead.

And yeah, you're right, I remember thinking that it was weird (and disappointing) how we didn't get to see what he looked like 20 years ago.
But him having been a woman makes more sense considering this.

Wouldn't be surprising at all. Don't need to go longer than his character description.
Hell, it can easily be that Oda wants us to think this, but the "real" secret is just that Crocodile had some comical and/or ugly disfigurement, like a big nose or something like that, and that he absolutely does not want people to find out due to his big ego and pride.

Are you kidding me? Crocodile as a woman would actually be Totally.Fucking.Awesome.
It's not really even creepy, considering how Ivankov's ability allows him to literally change the subject's gender, rather than just giving them what is a surgically mutilated genitalia.


Crocodile's general personality is pretty much one that makes his gender utterly irrelevant, as he is awesome regardless.
