Whatever the result, I feel satisfied already with just Luffy asking him to join. Because that means he considers Jinbe one of them now. I'm still 99.9% sure he will get onboard.

I think they'll use Jinbe's giving blood to a human (thus breaking the old law) as an excuse to have him expelled from the Island to go along with them. And after that the law will be abolished. =P

Damn, they're being too ambiguous with all this ''Power to destroy the world'' and ''Promised day'' stuff... Although it's pretty much set in stone that it has to do with the ancient weapons and if not now it'll play an important role later for sure.

GOD THIS ARC IS OVER I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEW WORLD ARGHGHGHGH.

I bet soon we'll be filled in briefly on many other important character's whereabouts. If Buggy is actually a Shichibukai now I'm going to laugh my ass off.

I think it was just being used here in order to symbolize the human-fishman new bond and the discard of prejudices. I guess some realism wouldn't be bad but honestly I like my One Piece as wacky as it's always been, like Zoro bleeding enough to paint red several giant rocks after taking in Luffy's pain. But then he was treated exhaustively later by Chopper so there was probably some transfusions going on there too - just offscreen. Same goes for just about any other occasion where the guys ended up severely injured after a battle (in Arabasta for example).

Pretty much.
Although I'll find it weird if we're going to be faced with characters bleeding profusely, yet shaking it off with no blood transfusions.

I'm hoping that we get to know more about Jewelry Bonney soon enough. I have my suspicions as to what the deal is.

One small theory of mine is something along the lines of her actually being a World noble or something along those lines

If he has learned to use it, I'll note him as one of the biggest anime badasses ever!
Seriously, I love Smoker! Hopefully he'll get a bigger role and more appearances from now on.

The thing is i was wondering for the last few chapters how the hell did Luffy get beaten up so badly from a freaking weak enemy, and on the last chapter i found out, so that Jimbei can give him blood and make the whole island change it's attitude to humans once and for all.!
As for the invitation? Who didn't see that coming xD And i pretty much i think he will join the crew because as far as i know non was able to resist Luffy when he wants something :p

^Luffy pretty much beat himself up. It wasn't really anything Hody did to him.

There was some speculation lately that Jewelry would be the next SH. Mostly because she no longer has a crew and hasn't acted w/ any hostility towards the crew (even saving Zoro). However, you probably can't have two big eaters on a crew.

^ I actually think that would be pretty cool if she was.
But it's not really very likely, although there is most likely going to be a story arc that at least partially revolves around her, as her background is implied to be kind of a big deal.

I wouldn't mind her joining the crew, a new girl with them would be interesting to see xD. After all after the alabasta ark only guys joined them x.x
If i'm not mistaken thou the last time we saw her she was captured by blackbeard and then she was taken into custody by the navy, i can't think of the that sh will help her escape just for fun :p

Well, Luffy always said he wanted to have ''ten nakama'' (literal words) in his crew. Supposing he's not including himself (which is the most logical interpretation) even if Jinbe joins chances are someone else could join as well. In principle. But for the reasons I mentioned in the previous pages as for why I thought Jinbe could join, I also think no one else would.


For curiosity's sake I should say that way before Jinbe was presented or any of the ''bonding'' events I mentioned took place (i.e. when they just sailed from Water Seven) I thought their next nakama would be some kind of badass siren () that they'd meet once they got to Fishmen Island. After Brook joined in TB I still thought so (or desired so). But then their travels got delayed considerably and lots of shit happened... The idea was then completely discarded and Jinbe came up as the most likely.
