In my opinion the manga is to prefer. I constantly got annoyed by Usopp's voice in the anime, but I thought he was quite funny in the manga. I have to say, that I read the manga first, so maybe it's because it's the second time I hear it, but it's not the first time I've watched an anime after reading the manga so I'm a bit puzzled why.

Story-wise they follow each other nicely. At least as far as I know since I stalled the anime at around episode 150. However, I do plan to give it another change in the near future. So, if you like the anime I definitely think you should give the manga a shot.

well, hopefully luffy recovered 3 times faster ( in 1 day) and asking for food XD well, i guess he'll on his way to level 6 the next chapter, Ace must be saved , yeay :D

well, luffy is back and kicking, and with revealing that vivi is his father's nakama, no he is headed to 6th floor. and that poison bastard is going to transfer Ace. hurry it up damn :(

finally up to date on one piece manga now phew got to say i'm enjoying it looking forward to the next update.

Iam also a One Piece fan, have read and watched everything up to date (399 episodes and 541 chapters at this moment ^^)
Can't wait for the next chapter...

I wonder if it will get to the war between whitebeard and the 7 schichibukai and if they will show it... would be awesome... but its also possible that Luffy interferes before that, what do you think?

This story is just going nuts right now. We've got Teach on the move (for good or bad, who knows?). Luffy and co. blitz-ing thru impel down. Buggy and crew getting whippped. Ace in dire straights...I'm am so very pumped to continue reading this.

I swear, this is the only long manga that I've never strongly disliked or had a falling out with. The character juggling is wonderful and it's just a good all around manga.

i think luffy will save ace and he'll escape that prison from hell wind up meet with white beard have a party end up going with him to see his father monkey d dragon, get reunited with his crew somehow, boa hancock joins the crew and so starts the great battle between the pirate alliance and the world goverment

It seems that its very hard to tell who is on who's side right now. Magellan certainly is bad assing his way around. Curious how they'll get rid of him...probably crocodile will deal with him since they're both Loqia type

Are the spoiler tags even necessary since we're already in the One Piece manga thread?

Now what in Impel Down could shake up the whole world? I guess it has to be a long forgotten powerful prisoner of some kind. Or maybe something else is hidden deep inside Impel Down. (a weapon?). It might be something new, we never heard of before.
Can't wait to see what Blackbeard has planned. Obviously, he only became a shichibukai to get into Impel Down

@themasteroffools, don't know if you have read the latest manga, but its obvious, that blackbeard will take care of magellan. Atleast I don't think Blackbeard would be defeated that easily.
