But yeah, another hallmark of shitty writing characters knowing things they have no business knowing about, almost like they are omniscient. It's like Kubo forgets the characters aren't supposed to know everything we do. It's not like Aizen could talk around his ballgag to tell him because there is no way he's dressed like that and doesn't have a ballgag.

Bach bullshitted his plans like Aizen so it's only fair that he knew what was going on.

My theory on the explosion at the end of the chapter is it was Unohana. Kubo is finally going to show what she's got after mostly playing off her power as a joke up to this point. She's as old as Yamamoto, the other Captains all respect and fear her. It wouldn't be a bad reveal if most of the build up hadn't been mostly used in a joking context but I'm sure Kubo thinks it would be a clever thing to do. She'll get to beat up the Nazi army and maybe an underwhelming battle with an underling before the Royal Guard finally decides to show itself or Ichigo stumbles onto the scene. Guess she's done playing with flowers while everyone dies or maybe she'll present the perfect flower arrangement to Bach that will strike to his heart and make him realize the error of his ways...

Well, looks like I was wrong, because something far, far, far, far more stupid happened. This chapter actually made me feel a little sick. I figured Kubo was done ruining Byakuya but he just had to molest his almost dead corpse. Him crying and begging Ichigo to save the Soul Society was just fucking...ugh, I don't even have words for how awful it was. I should expect as much from Kubo, but goddamn, he really went there.

And that's literally the only thing that happened this chapter. Ichigo shows up, everyone is like who the hell is that!!!!?! and Byakuya finishes him plummet into a complete pansy. Lovely, chapter, really.

i don't read a lot of manga ...but it seems to me from reading this thread that bleach has made a place for itself in the history of suck....i have yet to read any other threads that are consistently negative ...
