I have to admit, seeing the Captain-Commander shrug off a bankai like it's a mere annoyance and burn a guy's face off made me feel good.

When you end a chapter with something that badass, you just know Kenpachi will be next to keep the badass train going. It only seems right for Kenpachi to get more panel time before Ichigo makes his chapter and a half escape from the Nazi mini-concentration camp.

I actually thought this chapter was kinda cool, and maybe the arc would pick up the pace a bit.
But then, obviously, Kubo went complete fucking retard.
He just did the dumbest fucking shit he has done in all his years.
Unsatisfying showdown with Aizen, condom man and buttefly man, powerup asspulls, shitty pacing, broken character arcs, lazy art and coloring, stupid new sets of "captain" enemies, the mere existence of the fullbringer arc, the massive chapter titles... and a whole list of other shit.
All of that just became petty today:

Zaraki-Motherfucking-Kenpachi was easily defeated by the new villain, off-screen.

My anger has gone full circle. Upon the revelation I wasn't even mad.
There's no enjoyable points in this arc now.
Kubo blew his one chance to have some high points in this arc. The safest tool at his disposal, and he just threw it away. He, for no reason, used The Worf Effect in one of the dumbest moves in manga history.

This feeling of completely calm hatred and disgust is indescribable.

At the start, slow motion skull burning, that's fucking rad. And Captain Badass getting pissed off, fucking sending his badass all over Soul Society, I couldn't even form a complete sentence ripe with profanity while I read it to express how I felt. Then it went to everybody in Soul Society manning up, giving their balls a squeeze and standing up to the bitch ass Nazis, all geared up to fuck them up, I even accepted that because shit, that was fucking rad having two-swords with his eye out ready to fuck up the gunman. And that final two pager, Captain Badass stepping out of a inferno of badass to stare eye-to-eye in a half-page shot with Fuhrer, shit was awesome. But then... in between that and the montage of everybody grabbing their nuts for a beatdown, it goes to some fucking- Some bitch ass- I can't-
