Ok so how did Feyris remember sending the d-mail? There's been so many time leaps I'm getting confused. I sort of get how Christina can be brought up to speed each time he jumps back, that sort of makes sense based on her personality, but Feyris Nyannyan?

I guess she's just special like Okabe?

ok, how the fuck does he keep leaping through time if they haven't built the 2nd machine yet? I'm on episode 19 and he seems to be going back further and further each day.....but logic says the further back he goes the further away he gets from Christina building the 2nd machine, which only allows for backwards time travel up to 48 hours. Ugh my brain is melting

Episode 17:

I must admit, I now 'lol' everytime Mayuri goes on about her watch stopping.

Her repeated death is like a recurring gag now.

And Feyris remembering that she sent the D-mail and then her saying again at the end that she and Okabe fought a darkness in another life is awfully convenient. I don't believe she's special - I think the writers fucked up. But I am willing to be surprised. It was another very interesting episode. I like how the story is developing now. Can't wait to find out whether he succeeds in reversing all the timeline switches, and if he does, what happens then. Something tells me he's pursuing a false and dangerous path.

^ Next ep is the weakest in the show, after that it's back to sheer awesomeness. I still liked #18 comedy-wise and whatnot.

As for Feyris (and everyone in general)

I think all people have a certain awareness of their selves in the other timelines - but that awareness is usually incredibly low except in Okabe's case for some reason. But since they've been continuously changing timelines and altering the present those interferences may have given rise to a bit higher level of awareness that would normally be impossible, which is why Feyris for example has very blurred memories of all that, like scattered little pieces of a passing dream.

TL;DR: In my opinion:
Okabe = Something ; Everyone Else = Nothing
Okabe = A lot ; Everyone Else = Very little

Episode 18:

I think this is officially my favourite episode of the show. Not because it's got a great plot but because it's hilarious. In some senses, Steins;Gate is one of the best comedies I've seen - the timing of the voice actors is outstanding.

And I'll finally have to admit that this story's got me beat. Everytime I try to outguess the writers, they laugh in my face and show they are twenty steps ahead of me. Clearly it was by design that Feyris and Ruka remembered. Love that feeling.

Episode 19:

Damn those are some bad neighbours. Hear screams, see broken furniture, and a woman writhing underneath some strange guy and they don't do jack shit. Tsk tsk. But excellent episode. Everything winding up tighter and tighter.

Holy shit, didn't see that one coming. Okay, uh now I'm starting to think back in regard to the first episode. When he first meets Christina in episode 1, he doesn't know her yet but when she first sees him she says something to him about how he was trying to warn her about something 15 minutes prior, or something along those lines. I'm guessing this has to do with the time jumping coming back full circle.

This show is fucking with my brain on every level. And I love it! I am actually quite tempted to watch the first episode again to see if I can tease anything out of it. But that would just be spoiling.

In any case, my guess is

her death in the Beta world is what actually prevented Mayuri from dying, because that means SERN never gets created. Remember what Suzu said about her being the founder of SERN? It's not possible to save Kurisu and Mayuri at the same time. I understand his emotions and all, but he'll have to think of the greater good and sacrifice the innocent-faced pawn of evil with the red hair.

Episode 21:

That was some long-arsed speech by Mayuri. I wish there was slightly less of her, even though I know she's so important a character. In any case, I am now wondering, what Kurisu is going to do...

Episode 22:

Two episodes left. I just know nothing is what it seems... I'm freaking out about what's to come.

Episode 24:

Brilliant. That was a very elegant finish, and I must say the story was superbly woven. My one criticis of this show is that it took too long at the start to make me care. For half its running time it is just setting up and relying on its immense humour to keep me entertained, but actual emotional investment didn't come until episode 14 or 15 thereabouts. Do I believe that wait was necessary? No. Sometimes I got the feeling the script was deliberately keeping me waiting, and that feeling of being manipulated grated somewhat. But was the wait worth it? Yes. What came in the latter half was outstanding thriller substance that outwitted my instincts at every turn and made me laugh and gasp as often as it made me think. I even adore Hououin/Okabe now. What a fantastically lovable character. 8.5/10

I'm not a fan of Mayuri, but Okabe is my hero, he carries this show especially in the second half. Watching him develop into a serious character is quite delightful..doooot do dooo... I'm not quite done with the series (ep 22), but overall it's much better than I have thought it could be. I'm glad I finally got around to watching it.

Yeah I remember now in episode 1 Okabe hears himself screaming, which is why he goes upstairs to begin with, and finds Chris laying there in a pool of blood.
