Cos when hagu is doing her artwork, both Takemoto and urmmm, glasses dude are on the sides of the screen and between them is Hagu's uncle, above his head it says in hiragana 'stoned'. Maybe the version you watched didnt translate it?

If you've already seen the anime, there was a live action series for Honey & Clover. I know one of the JDrama sites that subbed it.

Scared of Hagu? I find her adorable. And I'm not gonna see the H&C LA for a while since I'm not even remotely in the mood for it.

I have to say hagu is starting to scare me more and more as time goes by (although it was cute when she got those shoes ^^) I think theres just something about the way shes drawn :S. Another thing i noticed is that Takemoto is such a good friend, carrying Morita home like that was so kind. I think Hagu's uncle has some sort of secret wich we may find out later on too! It was so strangwe too when he was suddenly smoking weed, Biiig WTF?! moment there. So far my favourite character is morita because he's just so weird like when he was walking down the street getting funny looks. Takada (if thats her name) seems so kind too and im liking her more and more :). Thoughts on the next episode: Judging from the claybowl Id say it was Takada crying, and because it said 'two one sided loves' I think she likes one of the three guys and they dont like her back, they like hagu, but hagu doesnt really like anyone. I guess we'll see tomorow though? __________________

What kind of 18 year old talks like that? ep2 I suppose one thing that gives me hope for her character though is the fact that she can supposedly inspire all kinds of emotions in people with her artwork. There's a certain amount of wisdom and understanding of the human condition required to do that, especially on such a broad level (since her art is pretty varied apparently), so I'm hoping that she has lead quite a dramatic and emotional life, and that maybe when that's revealed, she'll be less 5 yr old-ish. The romance is getting weird. That scene at the end when Takemoto mistakes heartache or jealousy for physical pain...come on. That's like something that might work for 11 year olds, pre-pubescent children. How does an 18 year old not understand what jealousy feels like yet? And all the guys express romantic interest with super intense stare downs. That's just creepy. __________________

As for the scene at the end, in asian culture people dont start to have girlfriends/boyfriends till much later than some culture's (I think anyway) so maybe its the first time hes fallen in love? Or maybe he thinks its physical pain to show to us trhat he is confused? If he is in love then he's pretty weird, hes hardly even spoken to her! Also i think hes more aroundd 16/17 because hes a first year and Hagu (18) isnt. __________________

And theres just something about the way they draw her eyes that really freaks me out! I love how everyone is so desperate for meat because its expensive ^^. Also am i the only to half exoect Hagu's uncle to barge in on them getting uhhh, intimate? Turns out theyre just sleeping :P Annd whats gonna happen with yamada? I think shes gonna get with glasses man (yes still dont know his name) eventually. P.S. ROOOCCCCOOOCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ^^ __________________
