Off to a good start. Only the 1st episode and already plenty of cameos/appearances, comedy, action, and plenty of Index :)

I particularly like that they didn't spend the whole first ep recapping the last season.

I kept waiting for the crossbow guy to shout "Emiya Shirou!!!" though :)

This. I pretty much enjoyed this episode and it looks like it's going to be a good season. Just wish that it would be longer kind of like the first season.

I'm glad the show's back :)

From what I've seen it's supposed to be 24.

Edit: Hmmmm... ANN says 13, so I guess we'll see.

Index is always annoying to me so I naturally loved all the scenes without her. The Misaka scene was pretty funny and I like how this is picking up right where they left off last season.

Well now I'm getting conflicting reports some sites are saying 13 episodes and other sites are saying 24 episodes. Hoping it's 24 but betting that it's 13. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I know some sites will only list the number of episodes that they know the titles to, while others report just how long it's going to be.

I'm expecting 24 though.

Episode 1 was good, but I'm not really impressed yet. It's refreshing to see this after the (IMO) terrible Railgun.

No it doesn't. They don't have a number of episodes. They just have the dates for the first 13. If they knew how many episodes there were, it would say, "number of episodes: x".
