The OVA is going to be called "Bakuretsu Tenshi - Tenshi Sairin" or the "Angel Second Advent".

Moonphase lists this as an OVA, but the site just says Anime... dunno about you guys, but I loved this series and I'm really excited. I HOPE, I really HOPE, they use the same music producer that did the tv series. the soundtrack is just spectacular.

I only saw 6 episodes of the show, but wasn't that impressed and kinda left it alone. The music and visuals were nice, but I got turned off by what seemed to be becoming a 'bad guy of the week' show with relatively cliche characters. Without spoiling, does it get better later?

Meh, I didn't get in to this show either, so I can't say whether an OVA would be a good or bad thing.

I watched up to 11 episodes(I think I even skipped one unknowingly), I got frustrated in that it seemedf to go nowhere. I pretty much have the same opinion. Great character art and visuals(sans some shoddy CG work), cliche characters and boring storyline. That, and some things were below my taste IIRC. I'm told that around the time most people give up on it, it starts getting better. Something about loosely tieing all the episodes together.

All I know is that I used to argue with someone over this show, and now he agrees with me.

I'll finish it eventually, as I hate passing judgement on unfinished shows. Chances are I'll catch the OAV when it premeires at AX if I'm attending that day.

it pretty much was a monster of the week series... but it eventually led to the big climax, tho i have to say, the ending will make you go 'WTF'... and not really in a good way. i dunno what i like about the show, but i just like it... it just doesnt seem like the average monster of the week show to me... definitely a r1 buy for me...

whether it gets better later on... yes, it definitely gets better.

p.s. i said the OVA was announced, i didn't mean licensed... then again, i'm not sure what u mean by 'catch it when it premieres at AX'... still in production >.>

Yeah, most of the show was monster of the week, and the ending felt like they just pulled it out of their ass (and a smelly ass at that). I liked Jo, but I'd never rewatch this show. I'll probably check out the OVA to see if they managed to do something interesting, but I wouldn't recommend anyone slog through BakuTen just for the OVA, which may or may not be better.
