Hey Alexander, it's Bixie, I liked this show too. Only watched the first boxset
though. Yeah, it's cheesy but it's good cheesy. Does that make sense?

Yes. Aquarion is justifiably corny. Yet has tons of comic relief.

I even forgave the lyrics of the first opening because the song is so good. Kanno Youko and Arai Akino!

Almost spend $230 when the die-cast transformable vectors came out, and then kicked myself as they sold out.

It was a good show, the OVA was a completely different offshoot of the series itself but overall pretty good. The music was pretty good as well imo.

Yeah, I liked the opening song too. $230 dollars for die-cast? Crazy!

I can't get over how bad this was !!! The only thing that kept me watching was awe of the amount of wierd orgasam shots someone please give me these minutes of my life back or at least explain to me what i just saw.!

Actually it's mostly a single shot, just dubbed differently :D

The obviousness of this is what makes it great. Aquarion is almost a parody.

You don't have to like it. You could try the involuntarily ridiculous Gundam SEED instead.

i'm sorry but i have to say this...
this is one of the anime that i watched that totally disappointed me

I guess I am just that old and crotchety.

If they were trying for satire, they failed. If they were trying to poke fun at their own genre and hoped it came across as funny; they failed. If they weren't doing any of these--then this anime series failed on a proportion so epic it would make the Fail boat turn into the love boat.

If you want something as empty and as a surgically altered play boy bunny to look at--shiny and pretty but not quite all there upstairs--then watch this anime. If you need a story, dialog that makes sense and characters with more character than a wheatie, for the love of little kittens, skip this one out.
