...and boy was it a good show

It appears that BONES has done it again...well it was almost expected wasnnit? Other personal BONES faves would be RahXephon, Scrapped Princess, Kenran Butoh Said and Full Metal Alchemist for instance.

Kurau feels a little underrated through. I had barely hear of it untill I began watching it but once I began it had me hooked from the first minute...me who usually don't have time to watch barely 1 - 2 eps a day ended up watching a batch of 7 a day.

Good story, fairly well animated, mature characters (no 15 year olds saving the world), interresting knirks, great character interraction, the ED tune Moonlight was/is great to.

no fanservice. great and unexpected story, great realistic visuals on par with GitS. simply *great* =^_^=
very good ending too...

generally in anime such as these, everyone dies in the end. not so with this ;)

there were a few places where I got frustrated with the stupidity of some things.

they should have known that shooting Wendt would perhaps not be the smartest thing they could think of. and as such have NOT shot him... but then, things would be a lot different.

I also really enjoyed this and find it to be highly under rated. I thought the plot was very interesting without being overly confusing or overbearing (hint hint Gainex) Anyway I have yet to see a Bones production I havnt liked. but I havnt watched Daybreak, Angelic Layer, or Rahxephon yet. All the others have been winners thus far.

I thought Angelic Layer was by CLAMP... or was that what they meant with 'story originally by CLAMP'?

.. rahxephon is weird.. and angelic layer is cute... both are very good in their own way ;)

Clamp originaly produced a 5 volume Manga. The anime is, afaik a co-production between Bones and Clamp.

The anime is, however, many many times better than the manga (which dissapointed me with it's weak script).

Ahhh Finally finished this one. It had the type of ending I liked, so it was very satisfying.

I saw one episode of this show on On-demand, and I bought the box set the next day.

I thought it was great. I really hoped there would be more of Kurau doing those missions and using her powers in a more intentional, directed way. Seems like there was a lot of running away. I guess there was still a lot of good displays of Rynax powers. Also, the ending was great. It didn't leave a bad impression or anything. I do wonder though, it seems like the older Kurau at the end was a little bit too detached from Christmas. Were her memories distorted? I guess she was a separate being, but I thought her presence was still there during the entire story...
