It's been a while since I've seen a series where every episode has been better than the one before it. I am happy about this :)

Well, it ended as I predicted. Don't be upset nk because this anime evolved into something very interesting in the last 10 episodes :)

Have to disagree with you there. I think the open ending was a perfect way to conclude the series. I don't think it needs a 2nd season. But yeh I'll go read the manga now as well.

I agree. This was one of the best endings of any recent series I can think of. Possibly the series of the season. I loved the ending. It was touching, disgusting, powerful, and awesome all at the same time.

I have to say episodes 17-22 were pretty bad ass and for sure epic. I won't forgive them for the second act. After the set up, up to where the shit hit the fan, was an extremely long and boring trek. I was fairly satisfied with the ending, even if I didn't completely understand certain motives involving a certain a Buddhist character....... dynamite man, dynamite FTW.

Great episode. Aren't there supposed to be additional eps on the DVDs?

I like how they make you question the morality of everything. Who's worse?... Humans kill each other in addition to animals/monsters/shiki, but shiki only kill humans and permit some to continue life (per-se) as Shiki.

I love stuff like that.

I also liked how they didn't/don't hold anything back in terms of what humans (and monsters) are capable of in terms of violence.

Was also very happy to see

Must have missed that part the 1st time watching it, thanks for clearing that up. Rewatched the episode now that umee released it, I'm still not 100% satisfied though but giving it a second thought it isn't as bad as I first stated.
