Ep. 12 of Arakawa felt much more like a last episode than ep. 13 did. 13 was a random throw-away/filler episode that would've worked just as well in the middle of the show as it did at the end. That said, it was still actually a nice funny little ep. It introduced some random new characters and I guess still stayed true to the spirit of the show.

Also, no speculation from you guys on the mysterious stranger who

saved the residents under the bridge? I think the chief is actually a pretty powerful and rich guy (though he constantly is trying to prove otherwise) and that would be my guess for who stopped the Ichinomiya companies construction plans. Also, his absence throughout that whole episode was probably a big clue too. Unless they're trying to be intentionally misleading.

Episode 13 was funny, but it was very weird like you said because it was basically a filler episode, was kinda like, wait....the final ep is a filler...what?!? That being said

The Last Samurai fighting Sister so that he could get a haircut was pretty awesome and hilarious though lol

The first 6 episodes were great, then it gradually loses its fun until it becomes completely boring.
