I wasn't planning on watching this series initially, I wasn't too sure about how interested i'd be in a romantic comedy, but I'm glad I did.
This has some very funny moments. [spoiler:05ec639f13]Like the three of them speeding past the 'Initial D' car on their bikes[/spoiler:05ec639f13] Well worth the watch.

Yeah, I absolutely loved the first episode. I havn't read the manga, and will probably hold off on reading it ahead of the anime or else it would ruin it for me. It has animation which reminds me of Azumanga Daioh, and has Azumanga-level comedy too. Just...perfect.

Man I loved episode 1
 . I only have one question, and that is: Are Tenma and Kenji friends, or did Kenji just suddenly fall in love with some girl he didn't know, and Tenma doesn't exactly know he exists yet? [spoiler:d404b37935]The crack about Kenji's name (the Harima Kenji, Harry Mackenzie thing) cracked me up .[/spoiler:d404b37935]

Guess i'm the only one who hated it, maybe i was just cynical about this kind of anime after watching girls bravo but i just found it really really dull. Sorry guys.

tenma isnt aware that kenji exists... u'll see that in future episodes =/
kenji just happened to notice something about tenma that he liked (it happened in ep 1, i cant remember) and then fell in love. |

Maybe Kenji use to beat off to Mahoromatic H-doujinshi, and it's just a matter of association.
I fscking LOVE this show, by the way. "10+ all the way. Must see. Pure gold." is an understatement. Unfortunately, human language lacks the capacity to describe such unbelievable greatness. *spins, spins and twirls around, while singing "Guru guru mawaru! Guuuru guru mawaru!" over and over again*
