Back on topic though, so far I am absolutely loving this series.

No fansub quality comparison for this? I'm stuck at ep 3 with a-k and not sure if to switch to ss.
A side question for all those who saw the a-k preview. You know the music in this? Has it appeared in the series so far at all? It's the only reason I'm following Mai Hime at all, and it's not been in the first three eps... ;_; Rar |

At episode 7, we have been introduced to all the HiME's. Perhaps now the main story will kick into gear. |

Wow, after episode 8, the plot just got a whole lot darker, real fast. This show just keeps getting better and better.

Wow indeed.
I'm speechless after ep 8, the level of originality and plot twist are far above average.... And I thought it was going to go down hill after ep 6, total redemption after ep 8. Too bad there will only be 13 episodes, I don't want it to end so fast. I wonder if this is going to be the Jubei-Chan of this season. |

It's most definitely not 13 eps. No idea where animenfo/anidb/etc got this number from.
The most reliable source I heard so far said that somsone from the production team accidentally dropped the number "24". Which sounds about right, judging the storytelling progress. Mai Hime turns out to be one of the _best_ running series so far, even though weird genre blends usually _always_ fail. But it continues to deliver quality entertainment with very high production values. I'm amazed :) |
