from the first ep i knew it was going to happen, i think we all did.

but now that they fucked like crazy people, i got to say this was a bogger shock than the first time i saw angel sanctuary.

though the age difference (and physical appearance) is what makes it somehow strange

I cant say i didnt expect this from the begining , but i was kinda supprised that they went that far in the actuall animation.

as far as not leaving it up to the viewers imaginations, possibly a kiss and then the phrase "we can never go back" but they actually showed her naked, which did supprise me, well not naked but same difference,

on a side note, even though this involved incest, i think it was a very good anime, with really umm nice animation, it left me feeling food at the end, but then again i like this kinda anime, i guess some people are also upset about the age difference, and while that is a problem, in modern day, to an extent, he was 27 and she was 15? , i know there was 12 yrs difference, in current times, it appears that if a girl is 18 it doesnt matter how responsible or intelligent she is, she is able to get married, my uncle who was 35 at the time married a 18 yr old girl he had been "courting" , my point if a girl is responsible and intelligent enough , i dont see a problem, around the 15+ yr range, that isnt to say i would do anything , because i know id go to jail , but i wont stop someone else if their relationship looks right,

now then the mixture is what i guess is the main aggressive feelings are pointed at , not so much her age, and not so much the incest, but the fact that its both, distrubs people? i guess i can see where people are coming from , but this is an anime after all, and if you didnt want to see it shouldnt have watched, it was blatently clear from the begining that this was going to happen,

Ending:

gah the ending was horrible a sad or tragic end would have worked. this psuedo happy end just leavbes noting resolved. they need to make a OAV to tell me wtf happened. did they move out or what.

Well I think that this show kind of struck a cord with me because I have reason to believe I may have a younger sister (half-sister) living somewhere in this state, who would be about 12 years younger than me (give or take a few years). So it is a very real possibility that I run into her, or even become involved with her at some point in my life... I am only 22 now and I know she would be around 10 now so it isn't like this is a worry for the near future (when I am 32 she will be 20 and that doesn't seem like such a large difference), but there is no telling what could happen in the years to come. It made me really think how in the hell would I react if I learned the truth in that situation... it has brought up quite a dillema.

About the "age thing" some more, I have to agree that it is a little wierd for us to think in terms of the "age thing" but in Japan it isn't that big of a deal... I believe that girls at the age of 13 are "sexually legal" so that would really not be an issue if I am correct. I don't know why so many people are treating this anime like it is some kind of new idea. As you guys have mentioned before incest is not a new thing in anime, nor are underage relationships... perhaps it is the combination that makes it such a shocker... but more likely it is the fact that this anime deals entirely with the emotional dynamics involved in this incest/loli relationship. There is no other plot, or idea presented within.

I liked it alot too, the animation was original (although at times a little off) the colors used were excelent, they had no problems conveying the emotion they intended to portray, the music was scene/subject appropriate and managed to stay fresh. Over all this is a really good show. Although before suggesting this to anyone I would make sure and let them know about the possibility of objectionable or disturbing material (just like I make sure to do for Narutaru ;P ).

Ending:

As to the ending... I honestly thought that the producers were going to kill them off to try and make the statement that karma will get you for doing something wrong... or even simpler, that they were doing something really wrong. The scene where they were in the ferris wheel after park hours and were praying to make it move... I totally expected the wind to blow it around untill they were seated at the top, and then the whole thing come crashing down, leaving them in some kind of lover's cuddle for there father and mother to find in the end revealing the sins they were guilty of. But I think that is why they left it so inconclusive... the way they did it just leaving it as a "pseudo-happy ending" allows the viewer to decide the morality of the situation for themselves. I do think that it was just a touch too inconclusive though... I agree with the want for an OVA to help tie things up. (Why did she go home, and not accept the bath with her new lover anyway? Did that mean something? What do you guys think?) I would like to see what they made of there lives... together or apart. Did Nanoka get the children she desired? Did Kobata convince her to move away with him for anonymities sake? Or was suicide the answer they chose? GAH so many questions unanswered... I think that they should definately do something to give us some sort of closure!!

I just finished watching Koi Kaze last night. I agree mostly with what CodeWordChobits had to say about it. I would like to add that perhaps the theme was not so much about their sins but more about them following their hearts. In the first episode we see that he is basically dead inside, with little emotional response to other people.

By following his heart in the end he even stumbles out that he loves her and has been showing it through his actions as well.

I know as I watched this one I started out laughing at some of it and shouting at the screen "dude its your little sister". But by the end it had me feeling empathetic to the two characters,

and I was glad they did not show it as a tregedy or karmic lesson learned. Which was what I was expecting by the way. Besides I think it was well established through his guilt as well as his co-worker's ranting that getting it on with your little sister is just not the right thing to be doing.

Also what I liked was that the story was told somewhat from the young girl's perspective as well. Much more innocent and less guilt ridden than the older brother's. I think that hearing her side to things was important in making this story less shocking.

You're used to today's oversexed...fashion. The style deliberatly employs realistic leg length and thickness together with old-fashioned production design to make it feel innocent rather than risqué. The soft edges and watercolor backgrounds also contribute.

I like that the backgrounds aren't detailed and busy and HD. So what is there seems to matter, e.g. the guys on the platform at their first meeting, who're already suspicious of that interaction. Just like Chidori's slightly SD face at ep 13:27, which seems to say "hontou ni warui yatsu".

There's also very little camera movement, so that when it does pan onto something you involuntarily attach meaning to it, like her hand (holding his the night before) on the train ep3 19:50. It also gets out of the way, so you feel more in the characters instead of with them, as'd be the case with a more active camera proxying for the viewer.

I like the voice cast. Okamura (Chidori) springs out and Akesaka (Futaba) is incredibly familiar if you know the newer MagiPoka, also with glasses :)

The ed is also strangely fitting, sung by Itou Masumi of Oranges & Lemons (AzuDai, SutePuri) fame.

Yes! She blushes a lot less, e.g. with the umbrella thing in ep3.

I don't yet understand when they were seperated. The op shows the father with her aged maybe 5, the ed seems to depict the whole family. And they definetly share both parents, see the teddys.

Otherwise this could be an easy one: his mother left before he could get over the Oedipus thing, she triggered that by stroking his head like mum used to, and now he's hot XD
