I think they are starting to realize that if they try to portray anything resembling sanity on television, it's bound to make a kid realize that he's insane. So portrayals of insanity (or anti-sanity) make kids feel normal. yeah, something like that.

ANYWAY, I like it too. Cool show.

you know this is kinda reminding me of the tamers season of digimon and to a lesser extent the frontier season, both had lots of anti--sane children trying to kill each other. and dont roll your eyes digimon past season 2 really is a good show.

Wtf..they show these kinds of shows on kid networks in Japan? I mean... the focus on death/sucide was surprising but I was most surprised when that kid got like a armory of guns out his backpack rofl. He had a p90 and shit(Best weapon in cs evar !!!)

I'm having a pretty good time with Narutaru...I'm just trying to figure out if it's supposed to be a mind twister like Lain was (or the End of Eva), or if it's just bordering. I'm pretty sure someone here has read the manga, any insight (without spoilers) as to where this anime is going?

well from what i understand being a kid in japan is different from say what we would call a kid. the age bracket is a little higher. like what we woujld call adolencence (i.e. 12-17) so it may look odd to us but to them its fits right because every damn kid i know is a angsty mess atg that age and it should sit quite well with that demographic

I dont think this was ever intended to be a ecchi anime in fact the character designs are overly lanky, and extra slim. besides drepression and ecchi have never made a good combo in an anime. Ive seen some drepessing hentais and thats not good it reallty brings em down.
