I recently started watching it with my roommates, and I'm on episode 9. The first few episodes were a little bit hard to follow, but little by little it has really been growing on me. I think my exact words after episode 3 were, "wow... that was like an ADHD freak-out." But the more I watch the more I find it hilarious.

I can't wait to watch more and also see what other people's takes are on it.

Nadesico is one of my top favorites. Everytime I think otherwise, I only need watch an episode to remind me how great it is. The only thing that felt off was the ending, and that's probably because of my viewing gap.

What I really like about it is it's role as anime fandom parody. I won't elaborate due to spoilers, but it works great as both parody and straight sci-fi. I also love the episode based off "The Enemy Below" (or is that the Star trek episode "Balance of Terror", inspired by the same film?).

All anyone has to do is say Gekigangar, and I can't help but giggle.

Nadesico is actually one of the few series I actually own on DVD, and will always remain one of my favorites even though I can't recall every episode off the top of my head. I do remember that emo pilot girl who makes bad puns with bad poetry though :P

Wow really? I loved the film. I loved the series too, but the stark contrast between the movie and the series really made it good. It not only wrapped things up very well, it was very well written.

I guess you could argue that the movie was open ended, and I could agree, I would love to see a continuation of it afterall, but there's no way you can't say it didn't do a good job on the wrap up.

As for the series, I'm actually in the middle of rewatching it again :) Afterall, Nadesico was one of my first animes as well.

Well, I just finished watching the series, and I was actually quite pleased. It is probably one of the funniest series I've seen so far. The way that they parody anime fandom is freakin' hilarious.

I am interested in this movie, now. I may have to watch it next.

Sadly, it's not all that good. If you liked the series it's worth watching, but don't expect too much.
