i think one of the funnier scenes was when the girls (after forming the team) in ep 1, saw their first game of baseball(no one ever saw a game, or played it). that was hilarious. |

don't get your hopes too high on the yuri... it's rather tame, and implied... and mostly for comedy. im not a fan of yuri myself, so im rather happy with the way it's inserted... as it's not central, and it's played for laughs more then anything else.

Just sen Ep 4. They stepped the yuri up a little bit :D. It's still implied, but it's now very hard to ignore.
There's also some decent characterisation in there, and nice interactions, including a great scene where Tomoe's trying to comfort Kyouko and Koume has to feed her lines while keeping Shizuka from protesting too noisily. Of course, that description won't make sense unless you're familiar with the characters =/. Also, Az is right. This has every bit as much to do with baseball as K-On! had to do with music... |

Ah, yea, I see what you mean now. I've watched the first 2 episodes and it's a near replica of K-ON except with more people and it consisting of baseball instead of a formation of a band.
It's not as bad as I thought it was. Curiosity paid off this time after reading y'alls comments after mine.

Not QUITE as funny as K-ON! in its first episode, but I give everything three episodes. This series does have a delicious Christmas Cake (a mainstay of all enjoyable high school series).
Did anyone else think Sakura Taisen when they saw the Imperial Theater in Episode 1? Or am I just a crazy Imperial Floral Assault Unit fanboy? |
