this season is pretty strong...
i thought the 1st season went downhill at the halfway point... the last 10 or so eps were really hard to get through. This season is different from season 1... a lot less 4th wall breaking, a lot more in common with the manga. that said, it's pretty strong.. it's much better then the 2nd half of season 1, and they toned down the otaku humor, which sorta was over the top in season 1. as i said, it's a little different. btw: ep 10: pretty funny. good episode.. we finally start to see some of the back stories of the characters.. fleshing them out a bit, and making them not so 1 dimensional... which is all cool |

I actually prefered 4th wall breaking and constant parodies of different animes, that we've seen in season 1. Usually once I noticed what they were paroding I had a nice burst of laughter. That said, I always knew thay'd need to start slowly moving the story in some direction or else the show would start getting boring at one point. Either way it's still greatly amusing, and I enjoy it ;]

I agree with the 4th wall breaking, but maybe not so much parody. Some of the episode jokes were 100% anime parodies, and some were of animes that some people have never heard of. But 2nd Season is still very much enjoyable. I wonder what Hayate's going to do...

omg... ep 11 was sidesplitting...
I think i cracked a rib laughing... that was Hayate at it's best. I actually had tears in my eyes i was laughing so hard when omg that was too funny. Even funnier was how everyone reacted when they saw him dressed like... that. Or better still that whole episode just killed me. Way too short... it felt like it was just 5 minutes long... easily one of the better episodes of hayate (any season) |

Haha, yeah it was a really good episode this week. The opening scene and the narrator's first line were fantastic, as well as those parts you've listed.
I think I've already mentioned that I love the OP (if I haven't, then I'm mentioning it now. It's awesome) but the ED's really grown on me as well. I mean, surely I can't be the only person who feels the burning need sing along with the Student Council Trio, right? It's a song made for audience participation =). I'd actually forgotten how quite how moe Isumi can be. |

Hayate (the manga) was substantially better when it got to this point (the Hamster/Hina and Sonia stories) and so has the anime. Once Ginka shows up the show will start getting even better (and marms will get horny . . . and then not . . . ;p). I'm glad to see Kotetsu and Athena (A-tan) as well. Hopefully they will appear. After all , I was surprised when "Princess God" showed up so early in S1, so it would be great if A-tan showed her true self. ;p
Also, more Hina is always better. Despite what marms thinks. |

Personally, I'm worried that this show will grow some real content (as I'm lead to believe it will by what I hear from the manga). The show truly shines when it's being unabashedly stupid (as Episode 11 demonstrates). |
