Episode 44:
Okay. Not great, but then most of it was in the background again. Thank God it's nearly over - only one more episode to go! :D

Suffice to say, I agreed with everything you said. I have nothing to add, except maybe:
I really missed Taiki! Anyway, gonna finish the final episode myself, since it seems you did. Thanks for a great time, therik! And yes, I say that to all the lads. Hah!

I'm on episode 7 now, and so far I like what I see. Great characters in a fantasy setting that I love. The characters are not likable so far (at least to me), but they are complex and interesting. It's also pretty slow moving. A lot has happened but I feel the show is just spinning its wheels right now. I want more plot to be revealed! NOW!

I'm on episode 14, the interlude. I think the show is pretty good, I like the concept and the plot. One thing that's quite annoying is all of the terminology. There are multiple names for the same thing, and I'm not really familiar with all of them yet. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it though...

The series is awesome, don't know wtf people are talking about. It's the most developed world ever created(It's hard to believe a Japanese author pulled this off, creating original worlds is their weakest area. Hell it even blows J.R.R Tolken's Middle Earth away), the stories are awesome, and masterfully told, yet is a very unique way of doing such. There's a lot of char developement, a ton infact, especially considering how short the series/each story is, yet it never feels rushed, ect.
The only real problem I have with it, is that at the last minute, they chose to make the series much shorter then it was gonna be, so the remaining stories were left out. Now this probally wouldn't be noticed, because we didn't even get the remaing novels(so there would be no way to tell that other stories were left out, due to how the stories are told), but they forgot to remove the prelude to the 2nd story arc for the kindom of Tai, so you end up with the prelude to the Tai Kingdom with no Tai Kingdom story to go with it. I so need to point this out, this anime has one of the highest quality box sets ever created(the premium collection 1, and premium collection 2 box sets). The boxes are vinyl, wrapped in a deccorative vinyl, with amazing screen printing artwork on it, completely different artwork on each side too(come to think of it, thiis is virtually unheard of with anime). then there is a inner box that opens like a book(which each DvD has its own spot, I can't express enough how much I hate it when companies just stack multiple discs on one another. There is different prints on each flap too), and each set comes with a different companion booklet(damn I love it when special box sets add companion booklets as extras(It's such a easy/low cost extra to add to a box set, yet It's so rewarding to the consumer, I don't know why it hastn't become the normal for box sets). |
