Shikabane Hime was fairly good (what I saw of it) and Michiko to Hatchin has been simply Cowboy Bebop levels of awesome so far, though I guess that's more stylish character study and adventure than it is action. And Golgo 13 TV has rocked my world.

So, eh, I say things are fairly decent.

mmhm. MELL is the artist. She's great. Love her music. Also does the theme song from Sky Girls. Rideback is definately one of my favourites from her though.

I've been meaning to start this series >_<; I should get around to it soon..

Epsidoe 4:

Oh meh. I have lost my appetite for this show. It's like a more sophisticated Air Gear... or Gundam 00 without stupid teenagers and more believable mechs. That kind of feel.

I think a lot of people will enjoy this on a 7/10 kind of level, but it's not great enough for me to want to continue. On to better things...

Yeah, as of episode 4 I'm dropping it too. A shame because it's fairly fun to look at, but the plot isn't grabbing me.

And that race was so... bleh. None of the awesome hinting at great stunts that was in the first episode.
Check out Viper's Creed if you want a show like this. They have similar mechs, and the animation in Viper's Creed along with the choreography is superb, the actions scenes are probably the best outta this years shows. Now that I think about it, the mechs in both these shows are VERY similar, in Viper's Creed they just don't look as funky, and are a lot more bad ass. These are like prototypes of those in Viper's Creed lol.

Seriously though, if you want a good action, check out Viper's Creed.

Viper's Creed made me want to gouge my eyes out after episode 2. Rideback isn't great, but it's doing better then that show. The action is probably better in Viper's creed, but there's just a lack of style to it, they are all in the same mech like thing, with the same weapons, the enemies just sort of run away while shooting, and your done. I like action where the characters are actually thinking through the next move, competing with an opponent that is trying to outwit them. You really don't get that in Viper's creed, but you do get a bit in Rideback (and I believe it has better potential for more of that).

Lol @ Sky Girls theme. Seriously, someone should have told her how horribly stupid the opening lines sound ^^;;

Yup.

It wasn't that bad O_o

I'm liking the Dai-guard vibes, the whole greed vs. virtue theme isn't something you see too often in anime in this vein either. Especially not in respect to main characters/good guys.

Love the art, hate the story. I really wish this had been
a series about Rin and her quest to become the rideback racing champion.
Only I don't like racing, either ^^

Maybe I was in a bad mood, I dunno. However, I'll agree the greed vs. virtue intrigued me. At the same time though, the characters feel horribly bland right now, the action scenes feel mindless, and the operators feel like useless whining kids half the time (Considering that, within the first 2 episodes, 2 different riders already broke their operators orders... I mean, come on, build up the suspense a little first!).

On another note though, Rideback hasn't been improving much, and I'm really agreeing with VivisQueen's opinion on this, very 7/10.

Dnno, I like Saiki, he's pretty badass, his seiyuu is spot on for the role too. Jun Fukuyama is doing the noob too. As of episode four I'm finding it pretty watchable in spite of its shortcomings.

Wait, Rideback hasn't been improving? Did you see episode six?

The last five minutes of the episode have pretty much set me on finishing the series.
