Sorry for not posting anything before, but my Internet connection is aaaaalmost as crappy as this show so it just stops working when it feels like it.

Anyways, episodes 7-8:

So the fucking priest died, that's the only slightly satisfying thing I got from all this shit.

As you said, bullying was handled in a way no one would ever give half a fuck for that dude. Also his ''transformation'' looked like a giant penis.

Apparently that Shikabane, Minai, could have been saved by forming a pact with our most stupid hero, but for whatever reason she didn't. Yeah. And I'm supposed to care, huh? Sure, with such an elaborate and utterly original background story how could I pay no mind to such an awesome character? But then again everyone in this show is almost equally 'awesome', if you know what I mean.

Also care someone to explain me WHY THE HELL did Oori aka Super Retard 3000 start to shout like the retard he is when they told him that a priest had been stabbed??? Didn't he already know that the damn priest had died?? THEY TOLD HIM SO LIKE A THOUSAND TIMES AND THEN SOME MORE!!!

This show makes no sense. Also there's the pointless narrative devices to forcibly introduce new information in the show, like when that loli with the hammer is telling Minai out of the blue that her master is one of the successors of the ten big blah blah blah cock shit vomit blah blah blah.

As for the cat, the heck is with that? My thought was that the cat is some kind of imaginary friend of Oori's but that got sort of contradicted in some occasions. But then again that doesn't matter, in this show everything is possible because it's so full of contradictions, Phoenix Wright would have an Objection! blast with this. The only impossible thing for the show is to be good.

Just like you I'm just going to finish this and then rant all I want, on the one hand because it's not really worth an episodic basis of comments and on the other hand because my connection sucks so much.

Well, if someday I feel like torturing myself a bit, or looking for a show that'll add up another low score to my anime list, I might do the effort. But I definitely won't drag Marius on it. I as well just can't believe crap like this actually gets a second season, just like Asura Cryin'. That anime is a friggin' meeeessss and all the characters sucked hard, yet it got a sequel. Is it over? Yes thank fucking god it's over. I've seen some shitty shows and this ranks right up there among the worst. However this show has a rare distinction of doing everything wrong and ass backwards. Most shows have some redeeming factor but not Shikabane Hime it proudly fucks up even the most basic things. Most of the episodes involve some kind of cliche, but it doesn't even manage to use those correctly. So let us count the ways in which Shikabane manages to fail.

Characters... what characters? Instead of having characters and developing them this show just keeps throwing in people without developing them. What you get are a bunch of moving lumps that do things for really inexpicable reasons. Not only are these people undeveloped they are completely retarded most of the time.They never do anything logical you just watch them go from one bit of stupidity to the next. Of course the main character Ouri is the worst offender here. He has the memory and reasoning capacity of a geribal time and again he witnesses things only to forget about them 5 seconds later, most of the time with a stupid vacant look on his face. Sometimes this could lead to unintentional hilarity like when the bald priest had been stabbed to death. He starts screaming in shock despite being witness to multiple events and conversations that meant he should have been well aware that the dude was dead. Even the dumbest, most dense person ever wouldn't have been suprised to find out the priest was dead, but not Ouri he needs to be slapped in the face with the obvious about 10 times before he understands anything.

The show is episodic monster of the week stuff so it's not like I was expecting a stellar plot or anything. However with such stupid illogical characters any shot at even a medicore plot was already blown. Instead you end up with a sloppy overarching story than kind of staggers along as the retards bounce from point to point. There is a story here but it's kind of DOA anyway because the characters are so shitty you don't care. Then there is the episodic part of the show which just uses the same old tired cliches and B grade horror plots. However the show adds nothing to make the cliches more interesting and it really does nothing with them. It presents them in the most boring manner possible and then sweeps them away to be forgotten.

Then there is the "humor" which is out of place and not at all in line with the dark atmosphere the show tries to create. However there is some of unintentionally funny stuff in the show, but not enough to make up for the stupid characters and illogical progression.

I could really go on there is more to be said but this show just isn't worth the time or effort. 1.5 out of 5

It really was god-awful. Clearly the characters were the biggest piece of crap here, but the dialogues don't fall short either. I repeatedly found myself wondering what kiddies program they had stolen them from, but I reached the conclusion that those couldn't possibly be this retarded.

Oori takes the cake as one of the most pointless, useless, brainless, void and obnoxious main characters ever. No wonder nobody wanted him nearby. Actually I think his life was spared because the whole cast was idiotic, because a normal person/character would wring this guy's neck very soon out of sheer annoyance.

None of the episodic stories were interesting, actually I think it's pitiful to say that ''the first episodes were the best'' because even those were terrible. Then there's the ending which tries to aim for a dramatic effect but fails miserably.

When Makina was shouting and crying at the end I was opening my mouth about as much as her, but in my case it was to exhale a breathtaking hell of a yawn. So what if the fucking priest died? They should just kill the whole bunch together with an A-Bomb or something, that way I might feel slightly satisfied.

Bah, I don't even feel like ranting anymore, this was the worst thing I've watched in a while and I'm sure the second season will follow the same path.

Just like I was saying the other day that Nodame Cantabile is one of those shows that remind me why I love anime so much and I can never stop watching, Shikabane Hime is one of those shows that make me lose braincells in the process and bore me to the point I wonder why I'm even watching shit like this.

I only watched them because I was bored and they were on Hulu. I kept hoping for it to somehow get better so I kept watching, but the time never came :(

The girls all felt like stupid exaggerated caricatures of some high school kid's fantasy and the story only existed to see them run around fighting demons. It's fine if you're up front about it (Sekirei or Strike Witches) but this one tried to pass itself off as something deeper and just insulted your intelligence in the process.
