I am a big Slayers fan and heard about this a while back but it snuck up on me when it finally came out. I am so glad to see new Slayers! I can't wait to see what they do with it! Just got ep 1 and have not watched it yet. Can't wait to see the new characters!

Slayers was the first series I ever watched(back in VHS days LOL!) and it is still one of my top favs! I remeber getting fansub VHS tapes before all the torrent and download stuff. Hard to get new anime back then! Slayers was one of the first animes I bought when it came out here. I have all the VHS tapes(signed by voice actors too) of the series and all the Slayers DVDs out here(including movies/OVAs). Go fandom! XD

I just had to start this one at least regardless of surgery. A pleasant blast from the past. Seems like everyone's back (though seeing Amelia and Zel show up SO late in the OP had be worried for a bit), though Xellos still hasn't appeared.

I'm not too fond of the talking Pokemon plushtoy yet, but it seems like it's still the same ol' Slayers which is good. A fun watch yet again. Recommend highly to those looking for an adventure comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously.

On another note, it's good to see some recent blasts from the past (YUA, Slayers, Birdy, Golgo, Macross, etc). Now all we need is more Juuni Kokki, Seikai no Senki, VPM (with Yui and Ranka) and I'll be happy.

(I feel so strange when I hear people consider Junni Kokki old . . .)

I would LOVE for Juuni Kokki to come back, especially to finish what happened with some unfinished business in the anime itself.. since I have yet to read the novels.

This is actually the first Slayers I've seen and I've been laughing my ass off with it so far. Are the others just as funny?

All of the Naga-less Slayers minus the ones with the golems and the spoiled princess and her allowance are just as if not funnier. The one with a million Nagas laughing for 3 minutes will make you want to commit suicide however (that is NOT a joke).

I'd just like to say that I found the first episode to be extremely hilarious and seemingly longer than the second episode. The second episode was ok I guess, it seem to fly by so fast. A couple of WTF moments to be sure. The most important thing to note is that they kept the old slayers style the same, a very very very good thing.

T_T I just watched them, I am SOOOOO pleased!

"Oh no! They've discovered its weakness!" Totally reminded me of the old humor!

Some of the old music, all of the old characters, same mood.

That little green thing weirds me out though. Like, did the producers say "sure, you can make a new Slayers series, but it has to have a marketable little plushie character in it!" ???

Although, I expect

that since he said "I'm not like this because I WANT to be!" he has a really cool human/demon/anthro/etc form!

Also, I LOVE the end theme! Yay Megumi! This is so exciting I can't wait for more!

I'm definaetly glad it's got the humor, mood, style, and slapstick of the old shows (that fish-lady? She made me so happy!) Yatta!

Being a long time Slayers fan, this was a must watch for me. What I've seen so far hasn't disappointed me at all. I eagerly await the release of each new episode.
