I found this show to be entertaining, but it had so many different ideas thrown in the mix that the predicament of the two main characters didn't receive much attention, and as a result it felt more like a storytelling gimmick than the main point of the show. I think Lucifer hit the nail on the head in his review when talking about Birdy and Tsutomu's relationship lacking impact:

"A simple remedy would be to focus on the potential of the relationship and expanding it, but as I said before the plot pieces on so many factors they can’t fit into the 13 episodes"

i liked it because it didn't' get infantile with the body switching. the novelty of suddenly having boobs would wear out pretty quick, and generally i find most anime who put a male character in that situation just go straight to 4yo potty joke humor level with it and don't stop.

I thought the MC's reaction to the situation was pretty much realistic and sympathetic.

I know i would suddenly be pissed off if i was in the body of my killer... and then had a great deal of stress put on my daily life because of it; the fact she had breast wouldn't alleviate any of anger either... i always liked their interaction... once they got over the initial shock, they became best buds.

I can see what you mean, and I am also glad the show didn't overdo the "Woah I got boobez!" thing. I don't have a problem with their initial reactions and there were some good moments in their interactions, particularly in the first season. I just felt that the writers could have delved deeper into the dilemmas created by being put in such a situation... That being said, I may be letting my impression of the second season (which I just watched) influence my opinion of the first.

Let the games begin
I just watched the first two episodes and the show is off to a good start with me. Decent animation, a great soundtrack (reminds me of the 'Zone of the Enders' games, actually), characters are introduced well and the action is good.

So far it seems to be a retelling of the OVA's plot, just more fleshed out and the male MC is not as whiny as the original. This is definitely gonna be better than the OVA. Also, I love the colors.

Wow, this was a whole lot more awesome than my first impression on it!
I am really liking the story so far and now I am understanding how he died and why he was fused with her body (since I had seen previews of the show and heard about its plot, but never really understood what was going on).

Good action too!

The animation is alright, but I do have a pet peeve with it. Its a lot like the GONZO animation; when its good, its good, but it seems to be drawn off and nearly scribbled down. Nevertheless, the movement and fight sequences are really good and very fluent.

Liking the dub so far! :) Nuff said!

I shall be watching the next episode really soon!

My first impressions are that I had fun. Like Schizm I loved the music and dat action, fast and fun with all them special effects to give it pizzaz and shazam. I thought it'd be a 90s anime (Don't know why) but I was off by 8 years. Looks good and some parts looked more muted than others, like it was more laid-back and relaxed. Might have been the OP or EP or what have you but the sound is better than the animation, except for them fights. Love my flashy moves.

Episode 2: So Now You're In a Hot Chick's Body

How do you start the second episode about space cop earth capers with a car crash of oujo-sama? That's like smacking some gopher kids for jokes. And she just came from the hospital! That's like kicking a guy who just recovered from a broken leg!
Coming to terms with your mind being a roomie in a hot chick's bod does seem... bonkers, but learn how to whisper silently soon guy!
If that guy who was moving around like he was eating flesh was near the school, that would have been all sorts of wrong because that's a definite rape face.

I don't even know how cremation got into it (Birdy?) but it was sure as hell funny!

Badass fight again, and guy's totally creepy with his rubber limbs and accelerated decomposing body, and kudos for making his arm fall off. Makes him even more creepy but eating that guy? Now that's an ending!

Space Squid's body is easily breakable, ain't it?

agreed... im watching it on netflix so Im not getting the full dramatic effect of japanese audio but honestly the dub is not bad at all...

but yeah bouncing boobies galore - for gods sake the main char is a undercover covergirl model - i expect to see Kiddy grade level fanfare.... though I think this show has some potential... was a little dismissive when I realized it was gender bender type anime, but am feeling better knowing its temporary and feel intrigued seeing the humor the series displayed during first two episodes and can see a positive series coming forward... well here's hoping
