Well technically most of them are pointless tbh :P Well they bring some entertaiment to the show, but they aren't really full grown characters. 2nd season tries to build them a bit more, but nevertheless this anime is mainly a one man play :P

Ep 18:
This time I guess I wasn't suprised in the same manner that for example death of Shirley, or change of C.C. suprised me. Geass producers showed us many times before, that they don't pull the punches, so when they loaded Freia on Lancelot it was obvious he would fire it. Title of the next episode seem to spoiler a lot as well. If Todou did get the message he is the obvious candidate for betraying Zero. Ougi also doesn't trust him much lately. And there is of course unpredictable Rolo, who (as shown in the preview) will get scolded by his beloved brother. So yeah, next episode might be really interesting

Two things, first:
What would happen if Charles got sucked into Freya? Or for that matter, another invincible geass person

and
Everyone's going to die except for Lloyd, and he's going to become the fabulous new emperor and everythings going to turn out alright.

Gah, I can't keep track of all the plot twists in this show, there's like more of them in one episode than there's usually in a whole season.

I'm revising my prediction for the end of the series

The invincible emperor gets sucked into the bomb thing, and can't survive complete annialiation of his body.

Zero gives up, and goes and lives in a harem with all of his waifus (Kallen, C.C., both princesses) and then they decide to do a Tenchi Muyo! like sequal.

Lloyd ends up being the only other survivor, and becomes the absolutely fabulous emperor.

No Need For Lelouch? Hmmm, sounds like a strange sequel....

ep 18 was just a little too plot twisty
I dont think Nunnally died. Didnt e see the other soldiers finding her with his maid and getting her away? doesnt that mean Rolo couldn't kill her. I think she got away, and next episode Lelouch will find out and get pissed at Rolo for lying to him.

And did the man (im forgetting the name) who was going to tell Todoh the reason they couldnt trust Zero die? If he did, then how would the other members find out anything about Zero.

And why does it seem like the Emperor likes having Lelouch to fight with? He could easily just tell everyone that Zero is an heir to the throne, the Black Knights would fall apart, resistance over.

The bomb exploded right above the palace where Nunnally and Asahina was. Rolo knew that and he knew Nunnally was there, so he didn't bother to look, he just told Lelouch to his delight that she was dead. So, she could or couldn't be alive, but Lelouch knew himself that she probably died in that explosion.

And the black knights would know about Zero because before that guy died, he sent Asahina that transmission, and before Asahina died he sent the transmission to Toudou. What Asahina was doing in the palace I have no idea.

And the Emperor I believe just finds everything to do with world events trivial, which makes me think he knows/ has something that can put them all in there place. Either that or he achieved what he already wanted and just doesn't give a shit.

And omfg I want to punch Nina in the fucking face. Everytime she gets airtime I get infuriated!

Episode 18

Holy f*cking shit balls!!! I want to slowly run Nina through a cheese grater. I knew when Kallen was about to kill Suzaku that stupid geass would kick in and he would launch that bomb, but daaaaaaaaam didn’t expect it to kill Nunnaly (though I still don't think she's dead) But well who cares anyways because Kallen is finally out of her cube of death and looks just as hot as ever in her skintight knightmare suit Guren is sooooooooo freaking ridiculously badass now like c'mon she took out two Knights of the rounds with ease. She is going to get into an epic battle with the Knight of One for sure.

NA, First season was better. This season is only about
killing off main characters

Episode 18:

KALLEN!! I LOVE YOU!!!

*ahem* With that over and done with, I will proceed with my complaints: I have been less and less in love with this series from about halfway through. It's gotten very... messy. As much as I like moral ambiguity, there are literally no characters I can genuinely say I care about (apart from Kallen).

With Lelouch, my problem is simply that he's not getting anywhere. Everything he touches becomes an ungodly mess, and for no good reason that I can discern. It's like the typical scenario of too much power making him lose sight of the original goal, and his behaviour is often reactionary rather than proactive. I don't remember the last time something big happened and I was like LELOUCH RULES AGAIN!!!! It's been more like 'Oh, wow, another battle with lots of shit blowing up.'

*sigh* Code Geass R2 dropped in my estimation from an almighty 9.5/10 to a respectable 7.5/10 as of episode 18. Who knows, stuff could still happen. Not a patch on the first series, though, I'm afraid.
