As with what they are called, most logical answer would be Knightmare Frame, since they are referring to Knights. Also, I would suggest not watching the fansubs that say nightmare flame.
I haven't watched a fansub where it says Nightmare...

And as for the dubbed version of CG.. Terrible, just plain terrible... That's why when my box set arrives, I'm never going to touch the english version...

Well, interestingly, it was GG's first episode sub that called it 'Nightmare Flames'. Seems they got it right after that.

GG and Eclipse both get scripts for each episode, so there translations are roughly the same thing, but GG is softsubbed and Eclipse is hardsubbed so I typically go with the hardsubbed since GOM always has trouble playing soft subbed.

Anyways back on the topic, I asked this question before, never really got an answer, is Britannia America or England? Remember them saying despite it'ss name the capitol is in NA, but why the hell is it called Britannia if it isn't on Britain? Damn Japanese...

I remember reading somewhere that Napolean took over England when they were at war in the past, so they had to flee to their colonies in America. That is where they started their Empire from.

After seeing the world map in episode 16 though, I am still pondering why they haven't taken back their homeland from the EU yet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, relatively new to anime and stuff, but hardsubs means that you can't disable the subs, because they are actually part of the video, while softsubs are a separate file, usually wrapped in a wrapper filetype right?

'cause I'm using Eclipses h264 for Code Geass, and it's subs can be disabled..

Really? I thought they were hardsubbed (never tried to disable them). usually with softsubs GOM always skips lines and hardsubs it's fine, thats why I thought it was hardsubbed because it never skipped lines with Eclipse. Hmm, wonder why it does that now.

I always assumed it was England since that was the original name of the british isles and especially with all this Knight crap, but the teacher lecturing them was talking about how Elizabeth or w/e escaped to the American colonies were Britannia was created. Is this just in the dub or did they mention that in the subs too?

*edit*
Found on wiki "Its homeland is based in North America, and its imperial city is Pendragon... With the exception of the European countries and parts of North Africa (which it is attempting to conquer), the Britannian Empire controls the entire Western Hemisphere, Japan, New Zealand, parts of the Middle East, and a portion of the Indochina Peninsula in the novels (the maps in later episodes contradict this). Contrary to its name, it does not control the British Isles, since Napoleon managed to successfully conquer the region."
So I guess that makes Britannia the US? Or is it that when Napoleon was conquering Britannia they fled to the Americas?
Found my old post. So are they American? Or did they take over? Or what, whats the deal lol.

Wikipedia used to have detailed history on the rise of Brittania if I remember correctly. Then some noob decided that it should be merged with the main article, and how like, 70% of it is gone, but there's a little bit there: Code Geass - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Could probably find it elsewhere on the net.. but meh.. :S

Because the Geass gods hate Australians. There, the cats out of the bag now.

Honestly, no idea.
