I've seen few episodes of this series now and I kinda like it so far. I didn't think the first episode was that bad either, I actually found myself laughing several times during it.
I guess I will miss alot of the jokes in the future tho since I haven't watched that much anime after all.

The drawing style is very cool and funny and it actually inspires me of drawing with such style aswell.
The characters are also cool, somehow they kinda remind me of my own friends and myself lol.

I look forward to see more episodes. Hopefully they will be better as some of you said.

Recently finished the second DVD (R1 release) of the series, and I'm still liking it. There are a lot of little "in joke" through out the series, I'm sure there are a number that even i miss. Those that i have caught, are often more then enough to keep the series entertaining enough to justify buying the rest as they are released.

Lucky star is ok. It has cute characters and the first part of the season is funny, but it really gets rather boring most of the time.

It actually isn't that bad the dvds come with a little like 2 page booklet explaining the references they kept it pretty original.

For me, it's pretty much Azmumanga Daioh all over again. The only real differences being all the otaku references, and the chibi "high schoolers" as main characters. For me, it seems a lot...slower than Azumanga Daioh. Sure, there was the hiccups episode of Azumanga Daioh that almost took the whole time, but they were trying to do something with a goal in mind and end up with a result. However Lucky Star...taking a whole entire episode to figure out how to EAT something...give me a break. The "which side do you eat this from" gag wasn't funny. These characters are supposed to be in high school, and they can't figure out how to eat something?

I watched it soley for its haruhi reference but the show in itself was mediocre. I just watched it because of the hype. It does have memorable characters and has because an internet meme. Only episode I liked was 21 where they talked about Konata's Mom.

I think I generally liked this anime, although it was a slow-continueing anime. I can't really understand what I meant but, y'now, I was a bit irritaded when I watched the first episode. Who would talk about how to eat food for that much of a time..?!?

dub is surprisingly well done... if im not mistaken konata's voice is the same actress that did haruhi's english voice... (haven't checked just going by sound)....

i actually might watch this series again in dub because jap one wasn't as good... i read fast and honestly i found myself pausing to read subtitles in jap lucky stars...
