Hmm, I didn't know they made movies of this. For those who don't know, Kara no Kyoukai is a novel written by TYPE-MOON in the Tsukihime universe. For the 1 person who doesn't know, TYPE-MOON is the creator of the Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night universes.

Anyway, the movies for Kara no Kyoukai follows Ryougi Shiki through seven movies (or chapters of the movie) that comes/will come out in Dec and Jan (at least the first three). Anyways, let's hope we (or at least me; I don't care if you get it unless you give it to me :p) can get our hands on it soon.

Oh, for those who have no clue what this is, go see this.

I just finished watching episode 1 of this movie and really liked it. I like how they use flying and floating for the basis of this episode, gave me a new understanding of a few things we could say. Does anyone know how many episodes there will be of this? Will it be 7 or 8 like the op or no?

There's an entry and review up for it as well, for anyone who cares for a more comprehensive opinion: Kara no Kyoukai - The Garden of Sinners Review - Anime-Planet

I for one thought it looked stunning - very atmospheric, loved the camera angles and the pacing was interesting. Action sequences are great too. My only complain is that, released like this, the story is going to be slow going. The first movie I think is far more interesting for its presentation than for the story and characters (I actually had problems understanding exactly what the hell they were talking about) so what's keeping me going is the hope that everything gets explained.

I saw there were a lot of movies coming, glad to know how many now :)
Guess i'll put it off till all movies are done then. If it's as high quality as the other TYPE-MOON stuff this can't go wrong :)

Actually some people are kinda surprised because I really disliked the FSN anime and I'm not all that big on the Tsukihime anime. Melty Blood and Fatal Fake are probably the biggest reasons I'm in the TYPE-MOON universe.

Anyhoo, it'll be a while till I get onto watching this but looks promising.

I had been waiting to watch this since it was first announced (I read the light novels some time ago) but now I just can't bring myself to do it for various reasons. Maybe I'll feel up to it in a few months.

I really dislike the FS/N story section, however the Melty Blood/Tsukihime/Witch on the Holy Night side of things has been a guilty pleasure of mine.

I just finished watching Part 2 of this movie and it was really good. VERY gory at some parts but over all really good. I liked this episode more then the first most likely because of the background information on the 2 main characters.

I have not read the original novels so I can't really compare the two, so I'm purely talking of this product based on my experience on the anime that has been released in the interwebs so far.

Might contain minor spoilers below, so read with caution!

First, I got totally hooked on the OP of the first movie. It's just great.

Then, about the first movie.
This left me little out cold in terms of plot. A lot of things happened for reasons that I do not know or were the viewer told. The characters were left little shallow and I couldn't help, but to get a feeling that this was more of "Oh how great visuals we've got here"
Without a doubt the animation was great. Beats majority of the airing animes currently.
Although I did get a feeling that the characters were hinting things, but it could be that I'm just seeing things my eyes wants to see.
Anyhow, the first movie left me little cold, but despite that I kept going for the second movie purely because I was curious. I did kind of figure that the first movie was not "where everything started" but instead somewhere in between.

The second movie then,
I liked this more than the first one. Despite the little drop in animation quality, I liked this a lot more. It gave some insight /dept to the characters that was lacking more or less in the first movie. I couldn't help it, but to be little lost during the chats with Shiki & Kokutou. Mostly because I couldn't keep track whether it was SHIKI or Shiki speaking.

What I wish to see more in the next movies would be; Dialog, not that silence is bad, but I felt that there was nearly not enough dialog for movie that lasts fifty minutes. Explanation to some of the characters and / or events. Certain character in the first movie was left totally in the dark. I believe you'll only know of her if you read the novel, but I wouldn't be sure.

In the closing, I liked the two movies so far. Despite it's lacks, I didn't think it was waste of spending almost two hours watching the movies. I'm indeed waiting for the third movie as of now. I suppose I have quite high expectations, considering who's behind the original work.

Big bonus from the strawberry scene in first movie. I liked that.
