I have movie too and I only watched half of it so far. Take my word for it, THIS IS GOOD!
It is from the creators of Appleseed if you are wondering. So you will not go wrong on getting this. :)
It is also Computer generated with a mixture of cell shading. The look is good.

Personally, I was somewhat disappointed by it. It was still a pretty solid movie but both Appleseed movies are better in my opinion.

The unfortunate drawbacks to many animated CGI films, especially found with anime, comes when it focuses on "wowing" the audience with their artistry, believing that it adds to the "cool factor."

Even in the 10 minute preview, Vexille has it's share of slow-motion matrix-esque effects that is detrimental to the flow of the movie. The story is often times clouded by too much time spent with the "camera" directly scanning the nice, graphic details. The other issue that comes to mind is that the artists fail to render characters in a way that reflects realism. Quite often, body movements are extremely slow and jerky, likely counteracting their intended purpose to make them as real as possible.

Nevertheless, Vixelle is filled with top notch CGI entertainment with a likely story that packs a full punch. It seems like a great title that'll be a perfect addition anyone's ever growing anime collection, or for that matter, animated collection. I will be buying it when it comes out on DVD.
I've found that the ONLY time motion seems real in a movie is when MO-CAP is used. Otherwise there's always a little something wrong. Vexille didn't use MO-CAP (AFAIK), and movement like walking does seem a little weird. Running and all other movements look fine though.

There's a lot of slow motion done with Vexille, but I didn't find it to be a detriment at all. The way it was used enhanced the experience, and let the viewer see things that normally would have happened too quickly to see.

The special effects and moves continuously left me thinking "Whoa! WTF? That was awesome!" Unfortunately, the story wasn't quite as impressive. It was very good, but there are a number of plot holes left by the end. I would have posted them, but I had to stop and answer the door. In doing so I lost my train of thought (dammit). I guess I'll edit/post them later when they come back it me.

And so first of the 3 WYW movies watched , yay ;]
After the failure that FF movie was I started being cautious while dealing with full CG movies, since they tend to focus more on a animation than on a real plot. But when i started watching Vexille my sceptical attitude quickly disappeared and I enjoyed both graphics and plot.
The concept is classical "How far can we go with evolution of machines" type of story, but I like how it's uses the ideas that looks like one possible future of our current technology. The animation is made of win,and the music really complements the action scenes well.
So I was happily watching this, and then came the ending...

Ending my rant - this was a good movie. Even though they failed at the end, I still enjoyed it enough to make it worth the watch
3/5

In my opinion, it was a great movie. Yes, like stated before, it wasn't as good as the CG used in the Appleseed movies, but man, it will give it a run for its money in more ways than one.

Personally, I like the story line and the way it started out. But in my opinion again, it was almost like the end was rushed in a way. I mean, it ended good, but it just didn't seem like they did there best in a ok sorta way.

The CG was ok as well. It looks life-like to a point, then after that point, it just curves away. A good example of this is when LIon kisses Nexium (is that how you spell her name?). They could have done better on that part to make it look more human, but pretty much all they did was touch, nothing more by the looks of it. That was just to state a point, but there are more occurrences in the movie where it looks like the CG might have been rushed in some parts as well.

As for the story line, I think it was excellent in its own way. It just goes to show you many possibilities and scenarios that can happen in our future. And if a way is found out to change molecular structure like they did in the movie, it will most likely end up the same way. Someone trying to destroy the company that came up with it or a way to steal it and market it for their own gain. And as for the enhanced suits, stuff like that is already being produced for the military I believe, just no where near close to how good that one is. Just can't come up with a good way for mobile electricity. Give it about another 100 years and it will become possible for something like whats in the movie.

And someday, I know not in my or atleast the next 2-5 generations (lol), this will never happen, but most likely eventually will happen.

Just my 2-cents on the movie. I would give it a 4/5 for good Story and CG/Animation. Liked the story and would watch again.
