Episode 2:
Another good episode. I agree that Keaton seems a bit over the top since the show focuses so heavily on realism, but it's not distracting. I guess that they mention RAF (as in the West German terrorist organisation) like it was still active places the show in the late 80's. Not surprising since it started serialisation in 1988, but the animation style makes me unconsciously think that it takes place in the mid-90's. Also, I'm trying to add some characters to this show. Want to confirm them after I've added them? |

Episode 3:
Stupid Flora, one of the perks of being an adult is that you can eat whatever you want and force kids to eat it as well. Anyway, she managed to avoid coming off as a precocious brat for the most part. And that was one evil matriarch... These three episodes has definitely showed promise and I really enjoy the mellow and relaxed (even though it deals with pretty heavy subjects) atmosphere of the show. Quote:

Yeah I'd agree the relaxed atmosphere is great. It's a very deliberate thing that doesn't feel lazy or forced. It's something that you can only get with these slow-paced shows and even then it only happens with the good ones. |

This is a damn good series overall, a trifle overlooked, but not something I'd call great. |

re: adding chars, we try to add chars for basically any character that has a name, including super minor chars, so if you guys are watching through the series anyways, adding every char you see would be really appreciated :) means no one will submit them later on!
in regards to that i have a question - having a hard time marking the VA for 'flora belnine' vs 'mrs belnine' - on ANN the only 'flora' that lists a last name isnt belnine (and from ep 17 or something). there's also 'anna's mother', a 'flora', etc. could you let me know which VAs should be set up? http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...me.php?id=1006

and because i apparently like spamming, what's the deal with Taichi Keaton? we have the name as such, but ann says taichi hiraga keaton for jp, and 'taichi keaton-hiraga' for english @_@
