Post format and full rules can be found here. __________________________________________ Potemayo short for Potato Mayonnaise. ![]() This... this show, it's just too freaking cute. It's just a show about cuteness and a bit of comedy. It's so freaking cute it makes me scream at times. =D Basically a boy (Sunao) wakes up in the morning to find potemayo in his refrigerator and the adventure starts form there. Potemayo is like a baby catgirl, yet she is more animal/baby than girl. Mostly slice of life comedy with a extremely cute little being. A bit of 'dark comedy' (not really but I don't have the words) from another thing that comes from Sunao's frigs. Last edited by rockenroll4life; 10-01-2008 at 01:06 PM. |

I've been recommending this show to a lot of people recently,so thought I would bump this thread in the hope more people watch it!
I had originally looked at this show and thought it was an instant turn off. The animation looked nothing special, and it looked too cute. My friend then explained to me that the cute fluffy things came with teeth. So I watched the first episode. Then the next. Then the next. Before I knew it, I'd watched it all.... The animation style blends perfectly with the series, ever so cartoonish and cute, but with something just a little bit special. I love the colour blending, and the way the characters are drawn. You need to have a dark sense of humour for this show. A lot of the jokes are a little bit random, but this breaks up a lot of the "slice of life" moments of the show. The show manages to sweep through many genres, even so I loved every moment. A similar recommendation would be Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu. Both have a very dark sense of humour, and so would appeal to the same audience. H. |

As an exercise to the reader:
*it was broadcast 1:30 a.m. *the original comic runs in a seinen (young men) magazine, alongside Kodomo no jikan *but is drawn by a woman *whose other works are called Pink Parade, Cherry, and Love Deluxe It's harmless fun, though, with some weird fetishes. The cast is great. Nene/Kugimiya and Kyou's Mum/Nonaka rock, e.g. by pronouncing Sunao just like Pote does. Who is voice by Hanazawa, and afterwards she got a lot more leading parts (Sketchbook, my avatar!). I enjoyed the craziness of it (the bird!), and how everybody just goes along as if it was to be expected. Observant watchers will have noticed Guchuko's scythe has the edge on the wrong side. This is just faithful to a carelessness in the comic. |
