Where have I been. Just wow, this movie really made my day. What more is there to say, this movie was released last year and I can't believe I totally missed it, until today that is. :D This is just a wonderfully light and easy to watch movie that is just amazing, perfect for a Sunday when it's raining outside and you have nothing to do.

And to think I was turned onto this movie by a single image. Lol, sometimes risks pay off.

Chiaki used his last charge to prevent the bike-accident. He leapt to the point before(!) Makoto used her last charge. ;)

I kinda wanted to see this movie since I've seen the OST cover and finally made it. And I'd say it made my day, I totally not regret watching this, it was the very kind of movie I love :D

It was a wonderful movie. I loved every second of it. Makoto is a great, energetic heroine, a girl who's impossible not to like. She's a colouful and interesting to observe character. I like the way the concept of time travel was depicted and my favourite scene is when

the crowd is frozen in the middle of the street and Chiraki and Makoto play a bit of hide and seek while talking

. The ending stole a lot a of tears from me. It was very touching.

but thinking of this movie, and mulling over it, i actually really hated the ending...

like the whole getting a new time jump thing was completely useless, and did absolutely nothing as chiaki still disappeared... and then the ending line was so corny... i cant help but crack a smile now at how melodramatic it tried to be there...

The ending doesn't really make sense. How far into the future does it take for them to make walnut shaped time control devices... "I'll wait for you in the future".. c'mon, like she will be alive for that.

Still, it was a great anime over all.

As far as I know, I am officially the only person who saw this and really, really didn't like it. I mean, I just hated it. I can go into my reasons later, but... I'm kinda tired now.

But didn't she re-land on the walnut, by going back in time? So wouldn't it grant 99 more time leaps? Obviously she was given one more time leap when he went back to stop the bike accident.

She handed him the walnut, and "said" it was used up. But she went through the same exact motions of her earlier encounter with it.
She may have just been lieing due to the fact he has to return immediately if someone finds out about it.
Possibly he realized that.

This is just my hypothetical idea on that matter. Take it with a grain of salt. (I think that is also what Worosei sorta was saying.)

I'm a rather stoic person and even i found this movie to be really good. I think it has a overall meaning that most people can relate to. i generally don't even watch this genre but it was still pretty amazing.

any arguing with the logistics of time travel is silly. It's quite obvious the movie wasn't about the paradoxes of time travel.
