well i watched one ep... i'll save it for a little later when i'm sleepy :P
the only thing that grabbed me was the strange faces they make... anime sure is good at making funny faces that make you laugh or make an equally funny face.

Just finished and I thought it was great. Very simple concept but executed to perfection. Comedy was great, romance was great, music was fantastic and most importantly the characters were dynamic and interesting. Best romantic comedy I've ever seen, anime or otherwise.

Great anime! By far the best shojo I've ever seen (but then again, I haven't watched that many shojo-series xD).
I don't get people who compare LoveCom to Ouran. I mean, they're like totally different shows. Don't get me wrong, Ouran was awesome and funny as hell, but it's like comparing apples to oranges... If you know what I mean. Anyways... Liked the characters, though Risa was crying just a bit too much IMO, liked the humour, the music was oké, I really liked the seiyuu, especially Otani's. He had such a lovely voice ^^ |

Hello Lovely Complex fans!!!
OMG, check this out (if it hasn't been mentioned already), this is awesome. The first episode of Lovely Complex done as Sims 2 characters. They even re-created the opening theme song. AWESOME. :-) YouTube - "Lovely Complex" Episode 1 (Love at First Sight)

managed to watch this in a two-night marathon, and i loved it. it's a good comedy - though there are some downplay parts for me (like risa's strangely obsession with becoming otani's declared girlfriend, for an example.)
the accent was a huge hit with me, the first time i could tell they weren't speaking "normal" japanese - of course i know there are accents but as i don't speak japanese, i couldn't really tell them apart, unless there's a massive attack of it lol. music wasn't worth listening to, though, after i suffered though the op and ed once, i skipped them all. seyuus - oh those were the best! - otani's seyuu in particular made a lasting impression :) ... i would watch the live-action movie if i wasn't so afraid it would spoil the good vibe memory the anime created, for me. |

I finished watching LC yesterday and I almost cried in the end. You just want to see more of Risa and Otani. And Otani is one of the best characters I've seen... or maybe I'm a little biased. BUT
![]() I started it after Ouran, so my expectations were a little low... but by episode 4 I was absolutely in love with it. It did move me. At one point I was on the verge of tears from understanding Risa's pining so well... and I nearly cried on ep.18. It shouldn't've ended. But maybe if they did a sequel it would suck and ruin the wonderfulness of season 1, right? ![]() I just wish Otani expressed his feelings more. I know he loves her and that it was a growing thing, but she puts her feelings so out there and he's just "Yeah" and "Me too". But it's a minor, minor detail. I loved his character. And now I can't get this anime out of my head

Ok, so I decided to go ahead and post thoughts on ep 1, and 2.
anyhow. I loved the zaniness of the show already. I remember not being in the right mood to watch this before, but now it means a lot more to watch. probably because my Fiancee is taller than me. =D ( This is a show I really should be watching with her.) The overall designs are great. She is the cutest overly tall girl ever drawn in an anime (well for me anyhow) yet at least she is not too cutesy. Character designs look like they came from the guy who did Honey Clover, (or) Peach Girl. I do not know why they look that way to me. I especially love the fact they are easily shown to have a lot in common. Who cares about height if you find that person that you like to share things with. Ep 2 got me again, the xmas ep. |

I see you started too. Okay I guess it's my turn. Well I'm not too keen over the character designs, but this is a comedy, so I'll allow it.lol. As funkgun said previously, the two main characters do have a lot in common, and yet at the same time they repel off of each other. I really like who they come together for a scheme to help each others true interest.
