Hana Yori Dango

Also known as Boys meet flowers. I didn't see a thread for this rather interesting anime so I thought I'd be the first. Just started the marathon, already episode 13 and I've enjoyed all the drama and relationship building. There's already been some decent character development and has set itself up for more of it.

The only thing I'd have to say so far on the plot is it's focus. It's start out being Girl vs 4 bullies with the whole school on watch, now 10+ episodes in it's like the schools opinion disappeared as it takes a back seat to the developing relations. I wanted to see more of the publics opinion as the group of boys go from making the girls life miserable to standing up for her and such.

Then again, it might be all the alcohol I've consumed making this show so great, ah, hell, who cares!

Started up episode 14 after writing this and the first 5 minutes gave me exactly what I wanted, oh the irony.

I love Hana Yori Dango! I think I still liked the manga more, but the show was good.

Oh yeah this is one of my faves. I wrote a review which sums up my thoughts so all I can say is I just love loving this show. I remember thinking a lot "Another episode... ? Well it's late but I'm already double clicking on the file!!"

Really this isn't a unique show anymore but its still head and shoulders above other shoujo and romance! I guess the melodrama sets it apart along with the nostalgic feel.

I haven't finished this yet, but so far I am kinda mixed about it. There were a lot of moments I liked but there were also points where I got hair-tearingly frustrated with all the exaggerated drama and the stereotypes. Still, it is a very watchable show, very addictive, which reminds me I should really get around to watching the 18 episodes that I have left.
