We all love anime and manga, and now its birthplace needs our help in the wake of a devestating earthquake.
Please help by donating towards the cause - if you know of a reputable organization in your country reply and I'll update this post. USA American Red Cross OR, txt REDCROSS to 90999 (I did already - did you?)

For anyone in Europe, the UK Red Cross accepts donations here.
Other countries may have something similar too. Note that these donations will be forwarded directly to the Japanese Red Cross. |

I donated right away.
Instead of updating with your Facebooks with stuff like "I send my love to Japan!!", please actually send money! |

I agree with Kari5. Another alternative is donation to the Japanese Red Cross in Yen via Google Checkout: 2011 Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami
I think it's the most direct way. |

A message from Shueisha, publishers of Shounen Jump magazine, to manga fans all over the world:
Genkidama Saves the World (YouTube link) Total number of video views = total amount that Shounen Jump magazine will give towards the relief of victims of the Japan quake. So just click the link, have an extra tab open for a few seconds. You don't even need your suond on, it's the hits that matter.
