We're thinking of getting a forum-based (for now, at least - eventually we may have a site-side section) news area going where some mods post things they find.

What types of stuff do you care about? Licensing announcements? Studio news? funny stories?

Also thinking of posting certain external blog editorials and other listings to both draw attention to good stories, and give people some good reads until we have our own article system :)

Funny news are always entertaining, but also announcements of upcoming sequels and new series are useful info.

New series.

Internet Piracy in general or how the industry is responding. Maybe also stuff on fansubbers.

Global stuff - not just limited to Japan and North America.

Entertaining/funny stuff for sure.

Maybe inspiring articles on individuals within the industry and what they have achieved or are responsible for.

New anime and interviews with anime related persons (say, the director of a certain movie, the author of some manga, the writer of this or that anime...)

Funny stories are welcome too.

I like knowing when manga is released or going to be. I can only usually find those announcements on official sites, and such, but a general announcement of all manga would be nice.

Maybe new reviews, although that would require some legwork and a lot of reading bad one paragraphers

I wouldn't mind something like Topless Robot's 'DVD Day' for new anime/manga.
Basically a list of new releases, along with commentary. Could do anime/manga together or separately.
If it is possible as a regularly scheduled item, so much the better.
