You can now leave comments for characters on their pages

Could have sworn I posted this already but I guess not! You can now leave comments for characters on their pages, similar to user profile comments. As examples, here's a delightful anecdote I had to say about Tomo from Azumanga Daioh, and words of love for Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi. Of course, your comments can also be positive or whimsical - you choose! Remember as always that posting aggressively flaming comments towards other users and the usual forum posting guidelines apply to character comments too.

There's currently no easy way of seeing which chars have comments vs not (except just going to each profile and looking), but when the rest of the char database launches that'll be easier to see.

Noticed this a while ago. Hopefully characters will get interesting/funny comments like yours, though I suspect most of them will be more along the lines of "So moe!". It's be nice if a few of the most recent comments would show up on the character's page, proper, like with the reviews, though.

On the main anime page we have "Featured Tag" maybe we could find a spot for another box for a "Featured Character" Possible would be good right under the tag box.

I enjoy the existence of this feature, but have yet to see comments. I kind of don't have much interesting to say, so I don't know if I'll use it. I think maybe I would use it to say who a character reminds me of (that doesn't have the same hair color/age/whatever, so they don't show up in similar characters). *goes to see what you have to say about Tomo, as I know you aren't a fan*

Perhaps if the comments were immediately shown on the character's page without clicking the "View x Comments" button, it would attract more users to the "shoutbox", not all comments of course, but at least the newest three

Agreed. They're not really visible right now and people might not notice the feature.
