as far as needing to be anime-specific, it probably should focus at least somehow on anime/manga at least some of the weeks... otherwise i'm not sure if it would make sense to have it on AP. then again, i think gaming is perfectly acceptable to have columns for, especially if the subject is games otaku tend to like to play (a col on touhou/visual novel type stuff, a col on rpgs, etc)

It will take me about one-two weeks to write my application columns, so please have patience for a little while.

I have many suggestions, but for the application I will write two try-out columns about the following two topics.

Great Japanese Directors
Diamonds from Japan (classics that needs attention!)

So, please give me a week or two, and I will give you two articles about the topics suggested above.

two weeks later we've only received 2 applications, though the initial thread had dozens of responses of people who were interested (strange).

i'm setting a due date of this for this thursday, Oct 8. if there aren't enough submissions (and/or enough submissions that meet the bar for what we're looking for), it's unlikely we'll be spending the time and money to build this big feature at the moment.

Seeing Cetonis's collaborated column takes some time to set up (gathering enough enthusiastic writers, watching the first week of Fall 2009 for one of our application entries, watching 3 series for the other), it isn't likely that we will make the 8oct deadline.
We will send in the application, but it might take until one week past the deadline.

I have the first one typed up, the second is still on paper; I might be too busy to get it to you Thursday because of a midterm, but I can easily send it on Friday. I'll try to find time to get it in before the deadline though.
