Actually, something occurs to me. Is there something you'd like to see be a column, sothis? I mean other than the obvious weekly news stuff, is there anything you think would be a good idea for the site?

mostly i'm looking for people to come up with their unique ideas they'd be passionate about and submit columns based on that. ^_^ an engaging style is a must!

Okay a couple of questions. One what is the deadline for this so that i can know how long i have to think about it? DO the articles have to be about anime, manga, or Japanese culture? Say can i do a column on technology, or would it have to be more about the technology of animation? I would be very interested in doing an article on either, but i don't know as much about the tech of animation as i do about just tech in general.

assume the deadline is in ~1-2 weeks. as of now i've only received a single application - i was expecting a lot more given the amount of interest in the other thread, so i'm a little surprised. ^_^; i planned on setting a deadline sometime soon to try to speed things up, itll likely be in a week or two. basically i need to know if i need to start building the feature or not - itll be expensive and big so if we dont have enough columnists that fit the bill, i will likely work on clubs or something else. ^_^

as far as needing to be anime-specific, it probably should focus at least somehow on anime/manga at least some of the weeks... otherwise i'm not sure if it would make sense to have it on AP. then again, i think gaming is perfectly acceptable to have columns for, especially if the subject is games otaku tend to like to play (a col on touhou/visual novel type stuff, a col on rpgs, etc)
