Just a heads up that we've updated the search to be considerably faster than before. Also, the bug with spaces before/after the string is fixed, and searching for parts of the title will now show titles that match (before it was searching a literal string - now, something like 'end evangelion' will properly find end of evangelion)
Enjoy!

as a note there are some cases where you wont see series showing up that should. for example someone reported that 'geass' was only finding the second series, not the first.
if you run into a situation like this please report it immediately - it's a simple fix :)

Ah, I was wondering why the search seems to be more intelligent now ^_^
Did stumble across a few of those bugs though; experimenting around a bit now: "Zettai" and "Karen" will not find Zettai Karen Children.... None of the individual words in the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei franchise find any of those anime. Same goes for the entire Nanoha franchise, Chrome Shelled Regios, Tokyo Majin, Birdy the Mighty Decode (both), and Haruhi. "Aria" only turns up Natural. "Ginban" will not find Kaleidoscope. None of the first three words will find Baldr Force Exe Resolution. First two words will not find Binbou Shimai Monogatari. hmm... granted it's a small-ish sample size of attempts, but it's seeming like roughly half of the multi-word entries are bugged in some way >.< If it's something you can see by looking at the code, it may be easier to scan through them than wait for all the individual reports -.-' |

Utawarerumono doesn't show up unless I type out at least the first seven letters. I don't know what the policy is for that, but I generally only type in the first five-ish letters of long non-english titles like that.

Thanks, it's much better than before, but as others have said, typing a single word often doesn't work for titles with 3+ words. For example, "ouran" returns 0 results.

Search has been revised yet again. It's now much smarter than it was before. For example:
Search Results - Anime-Planet Search Results - Anime-Planet It was an epic war with our database, but we came out with an epic victory. |
