It'd have to increase an incredible amount for it to become a problem.

I think its looking quite successful so far. The problem with post counts is that it doesn't reflect how much people actually contribute to the site itself. Letting the A-P "populace" have their say and show who makes a difference in the community is a great idea IMHO.

If the new people look at the rep scores that is....

I know it's probably working, but I personally have lost my motivation for giving reps. I was really used it a lot at first, but I've lost my drive by now.

Eh... then again, I tend to do that with a lot of things.

if my rep standing is indicative of how much they "contribute" to the site, sothis is going to go berserk . . .

I can now say I contribute a lot already . . .

The problem is that if you just start to ask yourself 'is this post really worth a rep?' you end reping none ;x

I either dunno what to rep, or what not to rep... so I'll just ignore this feature maybe, instead of confusing myself ^^

I think this is a great idea so long as it isn't abused. Since you have turned off anonymous reputation giving or taking away, that generally deters people from being ...well, people :D.

Personally, I think if someone gives a great reply, post, discussion--what have you I'd love to be able to give 'em something a little extra to show my appreciation.

it's a bum when people leave you blank reps u.u Not that it matters to me (even though I would like to know) but doesnt that make it hard for Mods? I mean, there's no way you can tell if it's a "polite rep" or whatever.

It does make it difficult for me (Only admins can check it, not mods.)

I pm those that leave blank rep and ask them to make sure to post their reasons. I delete some blank rep if I can't find a reason after checking the post the rep was given for. Make sure you give reasons when you rep.

If I could find a way to make it mandatory for reppers to leave reasons I would do it, but I haven't been able to find such a thing as of yet.
