From what I can gather it seems that the Grey squares are basically like 0 rep. Green if you have positive rep points, red for negative rep points, grey for 0.

If it's not then I'm sure Pidj can correct me ;)

There is documentation.

He's got a red square, so I'm not gonna read his posts! Too late, I already saw the text. It's next to the indicator. And it wasn't so bad. Otherwise the guy would be on my ignore list, anyway.

Wooh, someone has a green square, Ima believe everything he writes! I'll only reply to threads made by green people, even if the red stuff is entertaining!

Seriously, what's the use case?

Thank you. But, if you only have the option to "I approve" or "I disapprove" how does it give null rep? =o

EDIT: thanks, alexander. It seems that "Neutral reputation is only given when the person giving reputation does not meet the criteria set by the administrator to affect someone else's reputation."

Or when no-one has given that particular person any rep at all, be it positive or negative.

Okay, I am getting really fed up with this. What the hell does it mean when it says I have to spread more points around? I have given out plenty of reps since the time I originally repped this person, and I don't know what to do. Can someone please, PLEASE just lay down some figures for this? How many people do you need to rep before you can rep someone a second time? 20 people? Fifty? I mean, I just have no clue.

And shouldn't there be a time factor too? If you give someone rep one day, then come back a few months later, I personally think it should be allowed, even if you don't rep people very often. Whew...

Seems to work fine for me. Or, in other words, I have no idea. LOL.

I've had it happen once to me too, but I don't know anything about the stats needed to give that person a rep again. It does kinda suck.

vBulletin sells to forum owners. They don't support forum members. And the people we have to rely on are busy with the site. Great timing.

sothis linked some admin documentation, I linked something from the user FAQ. Both are pretty useless.

I googled some, but it's hard to tell which vBulletin version or modification people refer to. There seem to be two settings, spread and interval, governing how many other people you need to do between visits to the same user, and how often you can give per day. I don't know what the defaults are.

It appears that the more reputation you have, the more you affect someone else's with a single click. I do find that disgusting ^^;

The software can also promote members into groups based on reputation. As privileges are set by group this can affect anything from PM storage space to avatar size. I kind of like the equality we have now.

Whoever wants any of those probably should use this trial more, because according to the members list few people do.
